No good reason at all, Laurie Brown was paid a net amount £14,975 by the football club for management services for the financial year 2005 and catering services were provided by Brenderek Catering Company Ltd of which Mr D Jones is a Director. The net amount paid was £2,411. Services received, paid for, and good value for the efforts put in by both these directors. I'm sure no-one has any criticism of the club for paying for these services. Let me make it clear, this is information provided by the club to the shareholders, and is available to the general public, the club is open and transparent in this area, and should be applauded for operating in such a manner, not censured!!! Its not often there is an opportunity on a message board to show support for Directors for their work away from the football matters, so please don't cut off the opportunity in its tracks!!! The catering at the Lane is poor, the services provided by the Directors is excellent, in fact those two mentioned are probably responsible for bringing in more revenue to the club than the rest of us do in gate money!!! Let the conversation develop.

I rarely notice bad catering at events/matches etc - i just accept it as par for the course. However at the last home game the "coffee" on the Brookside was truly undrinkable. I won't bother again.

and if we don't voice the fact that the catering is poor, nothing will ever happen, and the catering will stay poor. Supporters have a lot more power in non-league football clubs than they ever believe they have. We should never just accept it, I just don't accept that it isn't possible to provide snacks such as crisps or chocolate bars at the catering outlets at the ground. I'm like you Ealing, to a degree you do accept that you won't get first class cuisine at a third class football ground, but there's a limit to what you will accept. I won't buy burgers etc at the Villa, but I will buy them outside the ground where they are delicious. I do like the hot dogs from the catering stall on the concourse at SGL but only with a can, never the bloody awful coffee.

I've been thinking about that; on second thoughts hold the low-fat yoghurt dip and rocket salad. I'll just settle for the "nubile virgins clad in nothing but an away shirt" without the food.

It certainly looked good on Natalie Denning; on Kieran - well not quite so shapely!

I think Natalie did too!!!! Although I'm not sure she paid McDonalds, Burger King, KFC, Bass, Theakstons, Courage, Carlsberg, et al - maybe she should've, she'd have been super famous then, and left Kieran to do "The Price is Right" and sleep with Leonardo Di Capprio and Simon Webbe!!!
