The game from a Hyde perspective....
It was a good game, but both teams could have won it, and in the end a draw was fair.
Game started pretty slowly with not much action at either end until Dale sparked off their crowd after a fair challenge resulted in Shabbir Khan smashing his head into the brick wall behind the goal. Heard it from 20 yards away and it wasn't too good but he got up ok. Near half-time, Gerry skinned a few players and the keeper but too many players blocked his view and he couldn't get a shot in. Half Time came and I went on the pitch to do a crossbar challenge, failed, and was rugby tackled by a charging Dragon.
Second half was excellent, Lincoln Adams gave us the lead after 47 minutes after Worcester's offside trap failed and Lincoln cooly controlled the ball and slotted home with precision. (He scuffed his shot and it trickled in). Worcester got back on terms within 10 minutes through former Nottm. Forest player Des Lyttle, who had a shocker, and his shot rocketed into the top corner past Dootson.
Game settled down a bit, Caldecott came on for Lynch, and with only 15 minutes to go a blatant handball was seen by the terrible referee (Terrible for both teams, some of his decisions were laughable when he gave them in our favour) and Seddon stepped up to score his 33rd goal of the season.
The game was entering injury time and Worcester poured forward, looking for the equaliser, and a huge goalmouth scramble was eventually cleared out to the left wing but the ball was put back in the box and after another goalmouth scramble Adam Wilding managed to bring Worcester level, to the despair of the 70-80 Hyde fans.
Gedman came on for Dale Johnson, and their was still time (96th minute) for him to hit a one-on-one straight at the crossbar when it looked easier to score. It was gutting to draw today and it felt like a loss.
Great stuff from the Hyde fans today who made plenty of noise out in the open, and the Worcester staff and pub staff in the Cavaliar were good.
Only complaint about the place though was their fans at the end, who came past giving out stupid comments and cocky comments, which weren't needed at all.
