Another late, late show but it sounds like a corker of a match. Hopefully that will give us all something to talk about. Crowd of 935 - pretty healthy given the circumstances. Whilst a draw isn't what we really wanted in terms of the playoffs, considering the calibre of the opposition I guess its not that bad a result. Better than my expectations anyway - and just as importantly I don't get any grief from the locals up here!!!

didnt play too badly, Hydes pen was controversial, given for handball. Build upn to our 2nd, we hit the bar, then dootson saved a couple, blocked, blocked again, bal back in, dootson saves again then wilding eventually scrambled it in.

City should have won this one but it was an entertaining game and that has to be the best I have seen Shab play.

Yes, Shab was brilliant, take note Andy Preece! Don't think Hyde looked that special and yes we should have won the game.
The ref cost us two points I think. Very poor.

A good game to watch. Officials in the second half were very poor, Hyde's first goal looked offside to me. The draw probably the right result on the day.

nice to put a few more names to faces in the Cavalier Pub before todays game. My view of today's game, pretty poor first half (both teams), the first goal completely opened up the game, it looked offside but the hyde player took 2or3 touches before scoring, while we stopped playing to appeal (play to the whistle). Not convinced about the Hyde penalty either, did wonder whether it was half for the first tackle and half for the dubious hand-ball. Final thought was, having got back to 2 - 2 and settling for a point we still managed to loose possesion and let Hyde have a "one on one" and luckily see the ball come back off our crossbar.
3 cheers for Worcester City Hip Hip Hooray.............................................

Have to disagree about Shab. As usual he was excellent for 95% of the game but he continues to make 3 or 4 serious errors per game. He lost possession in our own half which led to the penalty and made another couple of wrong decisions in the first half that led to chances.
As Preecey said in the EN earlier in the week if he can keep his concentration for a full 90 minutes and improve his decision-making thenhe can play at a much higher level than this.

On the subject of Preecey , he was furious after Seddon scored from the spot. Before the kick he was trying to tell Graham Ward to pass on the message that he will go to Danny's left with the spot kick...which Seddon did and Danny when right fog of war

i thought the equaliser was never going to go in! i must have held my head 5 or six times before i jumped! hyde looked like a pretty good side to me, possibly the best we ve seen at the lane, certainly much improved since we played at their place. a creditable draw. it was good to see cornes he rediscovering his touch too

Little things like what the penalty taker does should be dealt with in training ahead of the match, not left until we concede a bloody penalty! Can you imagine Mourinho waving at Cech to tell him that it's going to his right because the guy always puts them there? If Preece knew, it was his responsibility to ensure that Danny knew midweek. They do set-piece homework, why not fundamentals like penalty takers?

A good open game yesterday. Action at both ends. City must have had twenty attempts at goal just in the wild scamble preceeding our second! And Des's equaliser was a stuning shot from the edge of the box. Thought Cornes played some lovely through balls and Clegg had some neet touches as well.
In fact watching us play it feels like having a meal that just lacks an ingredient or two. A couple of elements that would make this a tremendous team. The frustrating thing is I can't put my finger on what that is. Plenty of effort, a lot of talent and so close to being a very good side.

The ref cost us two points I think. Very poor. Hyde could justifiably say the same.

It wasn't Shab's fault that after he lost possession Hyde went on to foul Des and that created the penalty that should never have been but his error - he lost control of the ball under no pressure - gave Hyde an opportunity they should never have had. Other things he did were superb especially his pace and tackling against what were a pair of pretty sharp forwards (actually very sharp!). Nevertheless I'm glad he played. How will he ever become the player he could be if he is warming the bench?
