Quite a few people I have been speaking to now believe that the result of the AGM/EGM votes will be manipulated so as to return the existing board of Directors to power.
In the event that this happens, rather than prolong this painful power struggle any longer, why don’t the SAG do the following…
Set up their utopian community based football club based at the Cinderella Ground (lets call it AFC Worcester for the sake of this example.)
The supporters then can choose between supporting Worcester City FC (and gamble that the Club will survive the Ground move to Nunnery Way and be able to push for promotion to the Conference Premier and beyond) or start supporting AFC Worcester the “fan friendly community football club” that will try and climb their way up the non-league pyramid over the next X years.
AFC Worcester can be run exactly as SAG want with no debt being handed over by previous directors and given that they will be starting out pretty low down the football pyramid, there will be no need to spend a fortune on facilities at the Cinderella ground in the first instance.
Is this pie in the sky or a sensible option for SAG if the AGM/EGM votes do not go in their favour?
