I think you will find it was David Hallmark who chose the new Chairman and NOT Dave Boddy.

In the same article Hampson is quoted as saying: 'As a past supporter and sponsor of the club, I am delighted to be given the opportunity to assist in what I see as a great challenge - and that is to deliver the vision that the existing board have worked so hard to put in place. The future of the club is ours and we are (working?) closely together to achieve this'.
When has he supported or sponsored the club in the past? I agree with him though that it will be a great challenge to deliver the vision of the existing board. Well nigh bloody impossible I'd say!

Sorry, every time I reread the NLP article something more absurd than before jumps off the page. How about this bit:
'The departing chairman has always maintained he would quit should someone with enough financial muscle to turn the club around appear.'
Is Mr Hampson being modest about the size of his 'modest donation' or is Mr Boddy's idea of financial muscle akin to Little Weed beating the Flowerpot Men in an arm wrestling competition?

I just keep laughing every time I read the article, either that or cry.
Bit like most things involving the off the field action at the moment.

I think you will find it was David Hallmark who chose the new Chairman and NOT Dave Boddy. Never let the truth get in the way of a good story. All they have done is move the pieces around without causing too much damage to their master plan. and the Chairman for the month is.. How on earth can anyone say Anthony (Bamber Gascoigne) Hampson is an ideal candidate for Directorship let alone the chair. I bet the other non league clubs are well pi$$ed off now we have snapped him up! They are backing the wrong horse again and just like the appointment of the non-commercial, commercial director they will be left with egg on their faces. I would like to offer my thanks to the former chairman for all the hard work he is doing on the challengers behalf. His endless stream of clichés and poorly formed tabloid headline phrases that spew out every time he speaks. David (Brent) Boddy is alive and well living in Worcester! Dave, do shut up please! They are going to a hell of a lot of trouble to avoid loosing power at the EGM, they must have a hell of a lot at stake? Answers on a postcard please to what that may be?

You need to get an urgent meeting with ALL the candidates and grill them... We cannot go into the most important vote in the clubs history without the full facts on each and every candidate. Boddy has stated in the AGM documentaion that Trust Board member Colin Layland has been nominated as the supporters trust representative on the board.!! I quote "and Colin Layland who is being nominated as the supporters Trust representative" This is pure lies from the club and I expect is an attempt to hoodwink shareholders into thinking all is now well. Colin has put his name forward to be a trust member in his own right which he has every right to do so as a shareholder. So when Boddy says "is being nominated" I would like to know by whom? This is no way to treat a loyal servant of the club.

Whatever we discover will be put before the Trust membership at an open meeting, hopefully after the FA trophy game to get more attending plus any exiles that travel down for the game. Will post more info on the Trust website when plans are in place.

I know that I'll get the "stop being negative" comments and abusive emails (getting used to it). I still believe that one of the Supporters Trust main aims is "Supporters representation at board level" (any board, not a specified board). If a member of the Supporters Trust is up for nomination at the AGM along with 15 other candidates (new board, SHAG, old board) then the Supporters Trust should be campaigning to get the candidate elected by the shareholders well they have the chance. After the AGM/EGM the opportunity for supporter representation at board level may not still be available.
I would suggest that the Supporters Trust Representitive Nomination be a "For" vote.

We cannot go into the most important vote in the clubs history without the full facts on each and every candidate. Why is this the responsibility of the Supporters Trust? to my knowlege the Supporters Trust hold no shares in WCFC so cannot make any difference to the outcome of the election, other than offer suggestions. If the 16 candidates are any good then they should be coming to find the Shareholders and "campaigning" on their own behalf not wait for the Supporters Trust to come and find them.
