To help with the "Kick It Out" Anti-racism day at the Welling game this Saturday the Supporters Trust are looking for anyone who is able to help before the game to assist the parents and their children navigate round the ground and generally help out. We will be meeting at 12 before the game to sort out what's what. If you can help drop us a line at wcfctrust@btinternet.com and we'll make sure you have a Trust Hi-Viz jacket to wear! We are also pleased to announce that the Mayor of Worcester, Lucy Hodgson, will be able to attend our event. It promises to be a great day so come on down! see news at www.wcfcst.co.uk

Well done to the Trust Board for getting this event off the ground. This is exactly the sort of thing the Trust needs to be involved in, Community events that raise the profile of the Trust and of Worcester City FC.
I know a lot of hard work has gone into organising everything for this day and I hope it will be a great success.

Rob we also see this as an important event and if there is anything the club stewards can do to help please do not hesitate to ask, one thing springs to mind is that the Mayor will need a parking space on the forecourt, that being so consider it fixed. I know Saturday is going to be a busy day for all concerned but if you have the time then I can be available to talk with you prior to the kick off, I am not sure whether I have all the answers that you might be looking for but I will do my best.

Thanks Camper. I know Sue has all things in hand and has been liasing with John Prescott and your security teams to make this a success. The call for volunteers is to do things like registering people in and handing out information, nothing more onerous! I'm sure after all the hard work that has been done will make it a great success with more of the same in the future. Great news to get the Mayor down the Lane as well!

We still have some fetching orange Trust Hi-Viz jackets left for anyone coming to the Welling game who might be able to lend a hand on the day with general domestics for the visiting kids and their parents. Meeting at the ground from one onwards if you can help out. Weather also set fair

But, Oh what a cock-up, the man who Sue Bently made a lot of arrangements with for safety did not show at the ground and he had not passed on any information to his deputy, so it seemed.
After all Sue's hard work she was let down somewhat by this person.

the result aside there was a warm, friendly atmosphere at the ground that has been missing for some time THANKS1 Tony how low will you stoop? surely you are not trying to claim credit in some way for this action! Why don't you do something original Tony and take the initiative for once! If Sue and the Trust hadn't done this it wouldn't have got done, as you and the other 3 wouldn't have bothered.

I was a volunteer at the ground on Saturday, and I detected an atmosphere of hotility from some of the directors. When greeted by a cheery good afternoon I was answered by a blank look.

Why don't you do something original Tony and take the initiative for once! If Sue and the Trust hadn't done this it wouldn't have got done, as you and the other 3 wouldn't have bothered. Campers post highlights just how out of touch the Board really are. For so long, every time any kind of initiative was suggested the Board would say, "can't do it, no-one will help us" For so long the Board have said that they have to do everything themselves because "there's no-one capable of doing these things" How ironic that the Supporters Trust, steered by Sue Bentley on this occasion, were able to yet again "make it happen" And this is the same Sue Bentley who is married to former director Richard Bentley, who between them effective managed the WCFC youth Development program, when it was affiliated to WCFC! So hang on Board, Sue hasn't just suddenly appeared from out of space, she, and all the other volunteers have always been there to help the football club. So Mr Camper, and your three pals, look and try to learn! It can be done, and what Sue and her team served up on Saturday is just an example of how the football club CAN be run to serve the community - the very strategy the SAG group are proposing. So its now official - Mr Camper, a Board director, is now endorsing the strategy of SAG! Now, for how many years have I been telling the present Chairman that we should fill the D Stand with kids and families? I wasn't there on Saturday, only because I made a major error over when Dans Worcestershire FA game was, could have been embarrassing travelling to Nottingham and finding the ground empty cos I was there a day early!! but from what I've heard, it was a major success on many levels. Please Mr Camper, step aside, together with the other 3 tired and uninspired souls, and let people who really care about the club (not just the team, but the supporters, and those outside of the direct supporting community) be involved, and then just maybe, the city of Worcester can talk with pride about their football club again!

Wayne I am not sure how you can construe from what I posted as being an attempt on my part or the Boards for that matter to take credit for what was clearly a Trust and Community innitiative. I could have added that Sue had spent some considerable time in discussion/liaison with Jon Prescot a member of the Board in arranging the event.

Jeremy I refer you to my attempt to recruit help through this Board for a Community Innitiative i.e The help we need for the Santa Fun Run on behalf of Leukaemia Care, the response has been pretty poor. Unfortunately this level of response somehow justifies your comments 'cant do it no one will help us' that you so eloquently put on our behalf. I can say that there are a number (not nearly enough) who are offering their services but obviously not people who view this board.

Well Mr Camper, maybe thats because after years of being messed about by the present Board, its not the fact that volunteers don't want to help, its more a fact that volunteers don't want to help you. And I didn't put the comment "on your behalf" I've had those very coments given to me directly by the Chairman and other Directors in previous years. In fact, other Directors have also had those comments given to them when proposing new ideas - Is the present Board actually afraid of new ideas? is that it? Afraid of being shown up for lack of initiative and ambition and drive over the past 5 years?

Couldn't agree more Jem
I spent several weekends with Bob Marley packing up and handing out Santa costumes for the initial run at SGH. I also helped out on the day
I would not even consider volunteering at the moment. And I am not alone as Tony is starting to realise.

However, The Santa Fun Run takes place after the AGM/EGM and if a "new" board gets elected it could be the first "positive" event for the new regime to oversee with help from the Supporters Trust/Supporters Club and Local Community.
