I've tried to follow the myriad of threads over the last few months. And received PM's accusing slander (and then later, read the 'accusers' writing exactly what I wrote before!!)
This horrid situation really looks like a mob - lurching from blame to accusation to blame and then turning in on itself.
Supporters groups? Trust? SHAG?? EGM's - AGM's?? Accounts submitted? websites dissolved??
Madness sheer madness.
If I was a Director of WCFC, And with only 600, or so, people now watching football. (unsustainable) And, was looking at a golden goodbye - despite the sh1t raining down - then yes, thankyou, £1m in me pocket would be very acceptable

But "professional fees of £250,000" is a nice little earner-surely that won't go to one individual professional?

Although to be honest, putting together a detailed planning application and the legal bits and pieces of the land deal etc, may well not be too far from this mark by the end of the process.

If the "landmark" new stadium is viable then yes otherwise it's another quarter of a million gone.

Very true - I've never quite understood the logic of a new stadium at Nunnery Way, when there is a much bigger 'landmark' stadium literally 2 miles up the road. If I was a conference organiser I think I know wheich venue I would check out first.

It does make you wonder why they are so hellbent on this project when it is clearly doomed to failure. Who stands to gain?

I'm not so sure. The planning application fee alone will be eye-wateringly high!
