From today's NLP:
'Former Worcester boss Andy Preece is planning a return to non leagure management after resolving issues around his St George's Lane exit last October'.
A pay day for Mr P? The debt now 2 million and a bit more?
Sorry, no, on the same page of the NLP our chairman tells the world it is untrue the club is £2,000,000 in debt and SAG are 'making a lot of noise and making it difficult for the Board to function'!!!

So what is the debt Mr Boddy? The £2 million is your figure. If this in not correct why tell us in the first place? What is the figure?

Got a horrible feeling the two are very closely connected, and Preece has fleeced us.

I believe that it is entirely possible that the club is no longer in debt but has an extremely health ballance in excess of 4 million pounds. I have heard that Carey Homes have settled up. This may be trouble making but the source seemed quite sure of his facts.

As for AP taking a payout. Fair play to him. He has a family to keep and the club broke current employment legislation to fire him.

No. Because he should probably have kept his mouth shut and I don't want to drop him in the proverbial. But I will say it was no one connected with the club though.

Are you sure that he is not being fed more disinformation? He would not be the first in recent times.

An announcement of this sort would tie in with DB's comments on Radio H&W - let's wait and see.

I thought the sale was subject to planning permission. Does that mean it has been submitted and approved in a nano second. It takes weeks. There will be protest from locals to both sites and the WN would have covered that

This may be trouble making but the source seemed quite sure of his facts. So the debt was more like 3 million then?

FFS get real!! Why the hell should Carey part with £4m without taking vacant possession of the ground before being sure of planning permission for what they want to build? Remember Boddy telling us that PP for housing on SGL was conditional on PP being granted for Nunnery Way? (that is one statement from Boddy I do believe)Are Carey the only building company in the country who are not strapped for cash or credit facility?
It's as likely as the muppets leaving of their own accord - or an AGM in October!

So what is the debt Mr Boddy? The £2 million is your figure. If this in not correct why tell us in the first place? What is the figure? At the Whitehouse Hotel a member of his Board of Directors stated publicly that the debt was £2 million pounds, its taped for anyone to hear if they wish. Now he says it is untrue that the debt is £2 million. He just can't have it both ways. Its one or the other. Either he was right at the Whitehouse (which seemed to be backed up by the figures agreed by his project manager Alan Williams) or he's right now, but not both. So SAG are making a lot of noise and making it difficult for the Board to function? You don't need to make any noise to make it difficult for this Board to function!! They appear to be totally dysfunctional Boddy could end any speculation regarding the debt by providing the accounts for the last two years. The accounts promised to shareholders nearly two months ago. So Mr Boddy, you tell everyone what the debt isn't, would you care to enlighten us as to what the debt is??? At the time of the last accounts (to May 2006) the debt including the 10.7% equity stake given to the bank was £1.6 million, so maybe its really only £1.8 million now. Does that make anyone feel any better???

Anyway, back to the subject matter of this thread...Andy Preece will, if he hasn't already, receive just what is due to him under the terms of the contract Boddy (presumably) negotiated. I also presume that before dismissing AP the board will have taken legal advice as to the financial conequences of terminating that contract early and as to the best way of minimising the likely cost .

An announcement of this sort would tie in with DB's comments on Radio H&W - let's wait and see. Thats exactly what he wants everyone to think. In essence that he & the rest are indispensable to buy more time and sow the seeds of confusion among the majority opposition. Just wait and see. Its time to end it and the time is NOW!

Certainly is. This is doing my head in, I really want to watch my team play, but I have principles, and no way am I going back on my decision to boycott the current board regime. Have thought about only going to away games, but I'm afraid that I will not be seeing any City football until they've gone and we have a new beginning, however long that takes.

AP having settled his dispute with City (or so NLP said) he announced he was back in the job market and seemed to be touting himself for the Fleetwood job. However, this has been given to someone called Micky Mellon.
Better luck next time Andy.

Micky Mellon played for Bristol City, WBA and Blackpool and was a decent midfielder from memory

Can't think of Mellon without the adjective "feisty" - wasn't he sent off on two separate debuts?

Can't think of Mellon without the adjective "feisty" - wasn't he sent off on two separate debuts? sounds about right - he got sent off for the Baggies in a play off semi v Swansea (Des was playing for the Swans!) and Ardilles actually made him into a decent footballer for a short time but it wasn't to last.

Once again Boddy tells us lies. He and his cronies told us Hotel meeting. We are not ostiches Boddy, we can remember what was said. To be a good liar Boddy you have to have a good memory. You do not seem to have a good memory, or do you have one?
Can we believe a word the man utters!!!
