Taken from comments by Mr Boddy on BBC website
"The credit crunch has had a massive impact on the new stadium from all angles, including the sale of St George's Lane - the sale price has fallen dramatically over a 12-month period," said Boddy.
Did I hear incorrectly at the shareholders meeting on 23rd May, and also during the open meeting at the Whitehouse Hotel, but David Boddy announced categorically that St. Georges Lane had been sold. The former website had photographs of the Boddy bunch and the Carey crew on the day they "exchanged contracts" Whe npressed by shareholders and supporters David Boddy said that the sale was completed, indeed the sale price was finanlly announced at £7 million. Isn't time to come clean on this? Has the ground been sold? Or is Mr Boddy yet again trying to lead us up another garden path, without any idea whatsoever which direction it leads in. No wonder Mike Sorensen can no longer work with them!!!

Can any of the former directors shed light on this?

Have any of the "Audio streams" been saved from either of the meetings (Shareholders or Whitehouse)? because like "Brooksider" I thought £7 million was the agreed "Sold" price as stated by DB.

I have all the audio files but I wouldn't waste your time going through them, DB will only spin another yarn if confronted.
Its clear everyone wants them out so why do they stay? I wonder if the trust has any more red cards, I feel the reception this week would be totally different to last time the trust tried to inform the masses.

I am getting mad about this lot now Why won't these people just go away? Don't they see that they are not wanted

we have audio proof that the sale price was signed and sealed and now Billy Liar Boddy, a man whose nose should by rights stretch from the directors box to rest comfortably on top of the Shed, is claiming that it is not. Is it not time for the Fraud Squad to start making some inverstigations into what is going on?

Good old Booby just keeps digging his hole bigger. It amazes me that he does not realise it is not the SHAG group or the Trust that is turning people against him and his fellow directors they do an excellent job of that on their own.

Spot On GC, the ringmaster and his merry bunch of circus clowns are now doing a fantastic job in favour of the action groups. with just about every statement they issue, ordinary supporters are now thinking "Are they for real??" Like Tim, I always considered DB an okay kind of guy, even considered him a friend, but now??

From the BBC report...
The plans for the new stadium at Nunnery Way are also in doubt and, because of the affects of the credit crunch, there are serious concerns about the value of St George's Lane for development.
"The credit crunch has had a massive impact on the new stadium from all angles, including the sale of St George's Lane - the sale price has fallen dramatically over a 12-month period," said Boddy.
"The rental yields that St Modwen's were going to attract from the enabling development at Nunnery Way have fallen and production costs are still rising.
"So you have got a treble-whammy there and that is what we have had to deal with and it's a situation that is completely out of our control," he added.
"We had something that was deliverable around 12 months ago but things have changed dramatically, so we've had to cut our cloth accordingly."
So has SGL been sold or not, and if so how much for? This is not a difficult question, and I cannot understand why the Board of Directors cannot be transparent about this.
We all know that the global economic climate has changed dramatically in the last 12 months, and that this must have had an impact on the new stadium project. What we want to know is, what is Plan B and Plan C etc?

Years ago he said I am not coming while DB is in charge and I dismissed his reasons. He was right though. Absolutely right. KC take a bow!
