It's clearly unsafe. I can see gaps beneath the advertising boards.

It seems that the first we'll know is when the City faithful turn up for a game at Saint George's Lane to be met with"Ground closed" signs and directions to the new ground (wherever that may be).

Didnt he get Tamworth promoted from our level together with Gary Mills? He was assistant manager under Darron Gee when the Lambs won the Southern League championship. Mills was the manager before Gee as well as being the current manager since Cooper left.

What was there to stop both games being played on the Sunday with different kick-off times? Broadcasting one after the other would have probably given Setanta a better showcase to help launch their Conference involvement. Don't think they're allowed to broadcast "live football" when others (sky) are broadcasting, sky have already sealed up most of the day (sun) with wolves v alb**n then the last premier league games of the season That doesn't appear to be the case considering that the Conference South play-off final overlaps with the Oldham Athletic v Blackpool League One play-off semi-final 1st leg and the Conference North play-off final is on at the same time as the Shrewsbury Town v Milton Keynes Dons League Two play-off semi-final 1st leg.

Given that until the last day of league matches there was the possibility that the play-off final could have been between Workington and Blyth Spartans it was ridiculous that the Monday had been selected for the Conference North final.

Fraternising with the opposition eh? ... or just using them as a cheap travel option. Dare he stand in the Hinckley end? I went to the play-off semi-final second leg on the Farsley Celtic supporters' bus and stood with the Kettering Town fans. Nobody minded.

So hope to see some of you at the match. ;D I shall be there. I'm travelling on the Farsley Celtic supporters' club coach! It's cheaper than the train and the last train back would be too early if the game went to extra-time.

He got a red card recently didn't he for elbows? That's most unlike Leon, who I always felt was able to walk away from trouble, despite the stick he continually took. I can remember thinking Leon to have been very lucky to not have been sent off on at least two occasions for violent use of an elbow when playing for City.

How about starting with Skootch - Flying the Flag, Leiutenant Pigeon - Mouldy Old Dough, Sailor - Glass of Champagne, The Sweet - Ballroom Blitz and Kajagoogoo - Too Shy. That would be bound to increase the bar takings.

But Gola did not become the sponsors of the league until the sixth season. True, but we were relegated from the Gola league though, it had changed that season. We were relegated from the Alliance Premier League which had become widely known as the Gola League due to the sponsorship.

No, we shouldn't continue to refer to the competition as the "Alliance Premier League" (which was the original name) because the competition's name changed in 1986 to "The Football Conference". The A.P.L. didn't have the benefit of a sponsor in its early years so also did not have the burden of a sponsor's name being attached to the league name. Gola will be delighted to know you have consigned their contribution to the trashcan! But Gola did not become the sponsors of the league until the sixth season.

clubs expected to join Worcester City in Conference (bugger that Blue Square nonsense) North Shouldn't we call it A.P.L. North on that basis? (although I dont think that was the original name of the Alliance??) No, we shouldn't continue to refer to the competition as the "Alliance Premier League" (which was the original name) because the competition's name changed in 1986 to "The Football Conference". The A.P.L. didn't have the benefit of a sponsor in its early years so also did not have the burden of a sponsor's name being attached to the league name. My objection is to the frequently changing appellations due to changes of sponsors. Referring to various competitions by their proper names makes matters easier for anyone to understand and provides some continuity.
