I can see the appeal of steam trains over modern ones, I love the Severn Valley, the smell, the noise, everything!

The Supporters Club will be running a coach. What time, where from and what's the cost? Leave at half 7 at the ground. Tenner to travel, found a decent pub near the away end. Cavalier I think it's called.

Darrell is wrong when he says that if two CN teams are drawn against each other it is the luck of the draw. The central point is that it isnt wholly to do with luck. Of course, I accept the part that is to do with luck. The justification, as I said, is the CS benefitting from having the opportunity to access ~20K a year in prize money more than CN Clubs. I think I ommited the word 'then' By that I meant that if we even out the field i.e. have no regionalisation, then it would be down to how the balls come out, not, as it is at the moment, down to having more teams from a higher level in the northern section! In the Northern section there was a 62.9% chance of us facing another step 2 side, for any step two side in the southern section the odds are reduced to 46.5%! If, say, Cambridge stayed south along with ourselves or Kettering, the odds of a step 2 team facing a fellow step 2 side are 60.6% in the North and 48.8% in the South!!!!!

I agree.
Clubs that are out of the way like to make themselves seem like martyrs about having to travel so let them travel!!!
Even out the playing field, if two teams at the same level are drawn against each other it really is the luck of the draw!
Being in the Midlands we have the disadvantage of being a potential 'yo-yo' club. Blyth and the like don't have that concern. I'm sure they can trek to St Blazey once in a while!

Tough tie, they are 3rd in the Unibond - won't be a pushover.
Kieran will be happy though.

I note that lately the City have a new nickname. In recent reports in the NLP, they have been referred to as "The Royals." Does anyone know where this new nickname comes from. As I understand it "The Royals" are Reading, i.e from Berkshire. I noticed this as well the only link I can think of is the cricket team whose nickname is the royals

if someone exalts you the karma goes up by 1 if someone smites you it goes down by 1 so therefore the higher the karma the better. As for the first teamer/youth teamer/reserve teamer it's do to with the amount of posts the team status was the only thing i could think of at the time, any new suggestions are welcome. As for the announcement, lets hope its good news, has come from nowhere so it could be a number of things!

the evesham v halifax game doesn't really appeal to me, halifax doesn't really appeal to me, never been to bedworth and really enjoy non-league ties like that, with two teams i have never heard of or seen play before.

1st half we played it alot in the air and didnt get very far, 2nd half was mostly on the floor, played really well, much the better team in the second half and deserved a point. The goal that wasn't given when wilding's shot was saved by the keeper, he fumbled, onto the post, off his head, and from where i was standing looked in, but the linesman wasn't in the position to give it. He was behind the play as wilding's shot was from just inside the box, the lino went right up to the corner flag to look across but by that time the keeper had already pulled it back over the line. Good performance on the whole though.
