I preferred the "raise your hands" suggestion (many hands light work principle).

From the Nuneaton Borough forum: Third week in February? Let's hope we don't have to make a third trip to Liberty Way.

Nuneaton Borough's home Setanta Shield tie against Halifax Town was postponed tonight due to a waterlogged pitch. With the next round due to be played in a fortnight there is every possibility that the postponed game might be rearranged for next Tuesday thereby resulting in our match being postponed.

Yes - it was also a ground that has met Conference standard - (when Telford shared with us) so the BGB failure was to do with daft regulations by over zealous inspectors. It was not a failure to provide the most basic of facilities - adequate lighting on dark winter nights!

Saw a new barber's sign being painted locally. "Petes' Hairdressers." I hadn't the heart to say anything.
(There's only one Pete in case you were about to mark me down for that!)

Er, yes I do remember when it was....you keep wittering on about it. English winter evenings (that when it goes dark by the way - dark enough for penny pinching clubs to fail to provide lighting for a full 90 minutes. re; 'the usual worcester midweek effort of 20' Whereas every Nuneaton away game is like Man Utd arriving in town, of course. Stop talking about being a big club and become one - then you can crow. A couple of dismal seasons in the Conference is less than other small Midlands towns like Bromsgrove and Hednesford acheived. WCFC may be pretty awful - but at least we know it. Oh, and I think our gates are roughly as equally poor are yours - 700-ish.

Moley.
I read a letter in last Sunday's 'Non League Paper.'
And from the content of it I deduced it was you. Again complaining and blaming eveyone but the people who made the decision to abandon the game.
And again no mention of the Rugby match which should have taken place later that day under the lights, but had to be cancelled because of the problem.

Daza and Kieran both know my real name if want confirming it wasn't me.
