I see that Nick is turning out for the England team at the Kuala Lumpar World 5's Futsal Tournament in Malaysia at the moment.
Just watching them take on Argentina on the Internet atm
Another International in the side!

I am a bit surprised we let him go and play?

As he's only been a fringe player this season I don't see the problem with him going. It has to be the peak of any career to represent your country. Good luck to him & after the first result he's going to need it.

We've never seemed to be able to exert much control over the external commitments of players - most recently Emeke's day job (whatever that is?); prior to that Christian Moore's stag trip to Barbados!!

I dont have a problem with him going, it is a great honour for him to play for his country. He hasnt been able to command a first team place even when we are down to the groundsman and his dog, so why not.
I didnt know Emeke's job interferred with playing, that sadly is due to them only being semi professional. Careers have to take priority.
As for Christian Moore, I had no idea about that but no loss really as he was a totally nasty piece of work and would have probably been sent off within 10 minutes of kick off anyway

I certainly don't have a problem with Nick going either, a tremendous experience for him; I'm not sure, though, it's a 'great' honour playing for your country at futsal when the squad is made up entirely of players not good enough to play professionally.

I'm sure Danny found it a great honour to represent England in a team of players not good enough to play professionally.

No comparison, I'm afraid between futsal and football; no comparison between being chosen for the England National Game XI and making yourself available for a tournament that very few players would be prepared/able to go to. Look at the list of the futsal squad; how many of those would get a cap at Danny's level?

Being chosen to represent your country whatever level, professional or amateur is a great honour. I would hardly expect any of our lads to be picked by Capello!

With his limited English there may be one or two surprises ...
