Well it had to come didn't it? A piece on retirement. I must say it was great not having to get up this morning @ 7.00 like I usually do and great not having to go to work and worry about somebody else's problems. Then I was invited out for a birthday lunch by my daughter in Bredon, so that was a bonus (no washing up).
Even better I now understand the Government are going to pay me an allowance for staying at home; I believe this is called a pension. I always thought that was a kind of French B&B till now.
From what I gather they will pay this weekly until I shuffle off this mortal coil. Amazing! If the figures are correct I will "earn" more staying at home than if I went to work. Don't know why I didn't think of this retirement lark before. I'd thoroughly recommend it as a way of skiving off work.
