Sincere best wishes Nick.
Watchout though as it's going to be a warm day!
Would be nice to get a report on here afterwards.

Thanks for your support (also beat Gordon Ramsey and Matt Dawson).
Very hot from the start so from mile 16 it became a survival mission - did get going again after a walk and thanks to the support from the crowd. It's not something I'm used hundreds of people shouting my name and offering me jelly babies - incredible!
My target was 3:30 (I've done close to this before) but the weather and all the walking I did in London the day before took it's toll (you have to travel to the other side of London to pick up your running number). Vitually all my training has been in the cold and rain - it was raining today as we left London.
I've so many memories but turning into the Mall past Buck House was fantastic (even better than going past Fisher's ground) - I flew up the last 400 yards. Also saw some people in real distress.
If it promises to be cooler I'll be back.
To date I have raised around £1200 for Cancer Research and Acorns.

Nick - are you playing in or watching the Big Match? If so I'll willingly give you a fiver for your charity.

Yep, I thought Nick would be thinking he could have done it faster, but hey Nick, beating Haile Gebrselassie, Gordon Ramsey, Matt Dawson, Mark Bright AND the bloke in the Rhino costume is one hell of an achievement. The irony is that you managed the full marathon, but in Big Match 1 you didn't even manage the warm up Warning to all in BM5, its tougher than the London Marathon
