Dear City Faithful, Two years ago I helped form Worcester Sorcerers Baseball Club. The club has grown now to just under 30 members, both men and women, and we're playing every weekend throughout the summer. We've also, this year, found a permanent home at Norton Village Hall. We've kicked off a crowdfunder to help us with the final bits of building and upgrading we need to do to our field, and to help make it the best baseball facility in the Midlands. If you are able to help contribute to the cause, any donations would be very welcome! www.justgiving.com/crowdfunding/worcester-baseball?utm_term=PjM2jVWVWPlease find out more about us here: www.facebook.com/worcesterbaseballclub/And, if you'd like to come and watch, we're at home this Sunday - First pitch is 12 o'clock. Thanks for reading!

Perhaps we could join forces and call the "New Lane" - the "Baseball Ground" - or did Derby County use that name many years ago?

Talk to Colin and Jason up at Sixways, apparently they are planning to start a baseball team too! Seriously though, its great to see more sports being represented in Worcester, and although I hate baseball (possibly more due to the whooping and hollering of fans at games I've been to - in the US) I will very likely wander across to see a game or two.

And good to see the Sorcerers, and American Sports represented further - as American Football has been played in the city for around about a decade with the Univeristy team (the Royals) and the Senior side (the Black Knights)
