I read the following accusation from a reader on the WN website:
"Take a look at the online fans forum, 'City Banter Board.' Only a handful of people can be bothered to make comments there anymore, because anyone outside of their little clique is abused or derided for having an opinion."
Is that really the case? I don't agree but if I'm part of the little clique then maybe I am not best placed to comment.

I don't think that's the case.I used to post on here quite a bit but my interest has waned so much that, generally,I can't be bothered any more. I don't think I am alone and that is the main reason why postings have plummeted.IMHO.

Looking at the names of the forum moderators, there only seems to be 'ac' that is actively contributing. Whilst it doesn't necessarily follow that moderators are obliged to contribute, are the other three still around?
These being DazaB, LeedsWCFC, and JohnInglisIsGod

Thanks, that does put it into better context. I mostly disagree with him obviously, I don’t think there is a huge mind here. There is something to be said for ‘elitism’ though, but none of the regular posters here fall guilty of it imo. I had a disagreement with someone here a couple of months ago after he was literally telling fans that they weren’t welcome if they were more interested in what goes on on the pitch than the financial state of the club. I still believe that vilifying the larger part of your fan base that only wants to watch a game of football to be very foolish. Thankfully, most here don’t seem to hold such an extreme point of view.
