After the events of this week, it's easy to overlook the fact that there's a match taking place tomorrow - weather permitting.
Maybe we'll see the return of Morris, Olukanmi, Smith? Or a start for Bates?
I guess we'll be fielding some increasingly unfamiliar line-ups over the coming weeks.

Hats off to any City fans going to the game. It might be quite emotional if some players are making their final appearance in a City shirt.

You have to feel for Snapper
He didn't sign up for any of this - but is well and truly left holding the baby!
I wish him all the best

So do I: he's been left "Johnny on the spot" when, one presumes, he couldn't have known any of this was coming.
With confidence already low it must be at rock bottom: I expect a thrashing quite honestly.
Grandson and I are off to Hereford to see them play Wimborne: perhaps that'll be our temporary home come the end of this season (if we get to the end of course).
Never mind: we've been relegated before and come back and it's only football!

It's not just relegation we're facing, it's oblivion.

Its hard to imagine a small business where your senior management team aren't made aware of business situations well in advance. The club have not suddenly found themselves in a sticky financial spot, it just doesn't happen like that, if the wage bill had been running over budget, then surely the Board would have advised the management to trim it? And if it isn't trimmed, then clearly the financial situation is only going to get worse? But worryingly you're probably right, he probably has been kept in the dark! Like everyone else.

Try looking on the positive side. For example, I was starting to get depressed over Trump and then the vegetable shortage happened! There's always the possibility of good news around the corner. Gainsborough have one point more than us but I cannot see them gaining anymore - they have a horrendous run in with 10 of their 12 games against teams in the top half. At least we have four games against teams around us, and a better goal difference to Trinity's. So as long as we pick up a point somewhere we'll be hunky dorey! Better to take voluntary relegation than have it forced upon us.

No league win for 3 months and only 6 points since then. Not looking great!

Top scorer and only attacking threat leaves, all players up for sale, rumours of voluntary relegation and follwed by an awful performance and soundly beaten on the Saturday. Elsewhere, our top scorer gets a goal to earn a point for our relegation rivals, and Bradford smash Gainsborough.
I'm struggling to think of anything worse that could happen? Boddy coming back on the board perhaps?

One of the (many) things I can't fathom about the board's latest move is the timing. If you're throwing in the towel - do so at the start of the season, or later on if you're clearly adrift at the bottom.
City are in a relegation dogfight, and whether or not the club chooses to drop down leagues, at least try and keep all options open.
So shifting all out the decent players now in order to save some budget (talk about after the horse has bolted) is as bizarre as most of the movements this board makes.
As for the game, I didn't go but Harrogate forum says we played quite well

Are there financial or points penalties for voluntarily dropping down a league or two?

For those that went.....well done.
Oh, and by the way, were any of the clubs directors there? (WCFC's directors that is, not Harrogate's).
Dodger.

Can anyone provide the answer to Dodger's question?
In my book the club directors ought to be at every game, particularly given the events of the last two weeks.
