I have an adult ticket going spare for the main stand, as my grandson is now working on Boxing Day. Free to a well-behaved supporter. Send me a private message if interested and we'll make arrangements for collection before the match.

Let's hope for a decent performance today against this full-time professional 'big' club. Would be happy with a win today and a defeat at Aggy rather than 2 'battling' draws (both teams get 3 points each rather than 2)..........of course, 2 winsfor City would be better! Dodger.

I am looking forward to this, whatever the result. Been looking back into history and in the 1920-30 era we always played Kidderminster AWAY on Boxing Day in those days, and there was no "double-header" as we played them at home later in the season.
Incidentally, looking back it was only as recently as 1954 that we played on CHRISTMAS DAY; sometimes on Boxing Day the next day, depending on which day of the week it fell. That must have been really annoying for the players.

Harriers played it around well and upto feet, perhaps guilty of overplaying in the final third. City hung in there and had good chances of their own. I could not imagine the City team at the start of the season being able to keep a clean sheet against anyone. I suppose it is a measure of how they have grown and developed as a team that they were able to keep their full-time opponents out even when they were a man short. For City it was another point gained towards safety, for the Harriers they would have been disappointed not to have taken all 3.
As expected it was a full blooded derby which the ref did well to control. Some of the yellow cards were rather foolishly conceded. Oji straight red may have been considered harsh but he gave the ref a decision to make and that's the decision he made. It was a shame Bishop was injured as I would fancy he would have ruffled a few Harriers feathers with his physicality.
On to New Year...

A fair result I think. A couple of positives for me: Chambers looked class when he came on and if he stays fit can do Oji's job while he's suspended and Cieron Keane again had a cracking match. He's the signing of the Summer for me.
Harriers certainly passed the ball well, particularly when they had the extra man, but I can't say I was that impressed: I thought Fylde were a much better team.
It ain't over till the fat lady sings and I reckon we can still do a job at Aggborough.

A good point today. For a full time side pushing for promotion, Kiddy looked decidedly average to me. Will be making the trip down to Aggborough with the hope of us getting something out of the game and after today's showing why not. Up the City!

Hmmm, a Kiddy fans perspective on it.. www.harriers-online.co.uk/season16-17/reports16-17/worc_a_26-12-16.shtmlInteresting reading about the 'flares incident' and they tried ushering up the culprit/s to the stewards/police but they werent fussed about it. Tactically we got it right against them, counter attack is the best policy, unless you can keep a constant press on them. Chekaine Steele was fantastic in his tracking back and doing the disciplined stuff that limited the space they had, it kept their dangermen who like to run with the ball in towards the edge of the 18 yard box which is their favourite trick quiet.

Actually to put you right on that or indeed those on the other forum, Harriers "fans" started throwing punches with each other. The stewards moved away the group who were apparently trying to fight with those who they believed threw it.....not really ushering tactics ! When the group was moved they were asked a simple question "did you see who threw it?" The answer given...."No, we just knew it came from someone in that general area" We continued to monitor this "general area" and the group in it, and they actually left the ground on 36 minutes on their own accord because "the football was crap". We have pictures of these people and will be circulating to Harriers and The Police. Stewards on duty (who also work for Harriers when we are away) did not recognise the group as being regular Kiddy supporters but may want to have the images in the event they turn up on NYD

Does anyone know the winning number in the half time draw and the prize (presumably many more were sold with the large attendance)

There is a certain irony about the Kiddy whinging about the state of the Bromsgrove pitch, isn't there. I believe we might have still been playing on their glorious surface if they hadn't sold to the highest bidder. I suppose that is fair enough when you need the dosh and are in real financial difficulties. Quite an achievement therefore to turn it round and become full-time and challenge for the title.
Still credit where it is due, you could see Kiddy were a good footballing side and they really should have scored early on but City stuck to their task and nearly got their reward on the counter attack. City players showed great discipline to keep their shape and not give away silly fouls around the penalty area. Both red cards probably justified although I could have done without the Kiddy players rushing towards the incident trying to get Oji sent off. Talking of the poor man's Joe Allen - imo he was their best player but did spend too much time trying to get our players booked by pretending to take quick free-kicks and kicking the ball at the nearest player. Luckily the ref saw through that piece of gamesmanship.
As for Lee Hughes, he always winds the opposition up - anybody would think he'd never played for them.
I was slightly disappointed by the City turn out but then again it's easier to draw crowds when you're near the top of the table. I'm sure Kiddy had similar difficulties last year. Also when you are more successful you tend to attract idiots unfortunately - we had the same problem on our recent cup runs.

The fact that it was all ticket reduced the crowd by a third I would estimate. City can attract a large walk up following who maybe for whatever reason did not get round to buying a ticket in advance. Even the Coventry match a few years ago was pay on the day remember and around 4k of us rocked up that day

You believe incorrectly, the decision to leave Aggborough was made by WCFC Board based on business and financial reasons. It had nothing to do with Kidderminster's plans

It was a fair result. Whilst Kidderminster had the bulk of possession, I think that it was Ethan Ross's quietest match all season, with him having to make only 2 or 3 saves. The reason for that was a tremendously disciplined defensive display. The back 4 were excellent, didn't dive in, for once not giving away cheap free kicks, and they kept their shape all match. In front of them, they were matched by Junior English and Jordan Keane, whose tireless displays making tackle after tackle, gave us a great defensive platform. They also didn't dive in, shepherded Harriers sideways across the pitch, and worked very well as a pair. Jordan Keane, on limited evidence looks a good signing - big, strong, fit, with good footballing awareness. Going forward, we had as many chances as Harriers, and also could have nicked the points. It was a gutsy, determined effort from the city, deserving a well earned point.

City can attract a large walk up following who maybe for whatever reason did not get round to buying a ticket in advance. Even the Coventry match a few years ago was pay on the day remember and around 4k of us rocked up that day The capacity at the Victoria Ground was set at 2000, although the ticketing plans certainly didnt help. WCFC thought they'd sell 1200 to home fans, but lets have some perspective here. This wasn't an FA Cup game against a league side, this was a 6th tier non-league game. Last time we played KHFC in the league was in 1984, at St Georges Lane, with a bigger capacity, all pay at the gate, and in a higher league (I think we may have been top of the Alliance Premier at the time) and the crowd was still only 2400. At the time City were attracting over 1000 to most home games, and Kiddy were well on the up too. Those last 180 tickets might have been sold if the tickets had been available online, for those of us who don't live anywhere near Worcester, it didn't warrant a 200 mile round trip just to go to the Guildhall to buy a ticket. I wasn't going to drive up from Uxbridge, I know Lord Ealing wouldn't have even have asked the chauffeur to make the trip up either!

We had helpers in from 1.30 for home end when we found out the agency stewards had let us down !
