Is it worth putting covers on the pitch Friday night, just as a precaution ?

Which covers would they be ? The ones that we had at SGL that were donated by Mr Pinches,or have they disappeared like the flags?

It would be a shame if a small section of the ground was still frozen(Salford springs to mind)and the game was called off. Would we still be able to purchase the Kiddy tickets? Plus the crowd should be 1,000+ which we would not get if rearranged. Let's hope everything works out ok

Another hard frost tonight: I tried digging some parsnips today and the ground was like a rock. Will this game really go ahead if the weather does not seriously relent?
The barometer is as high as I've ever seen it and the wind is in the East: both conditions for the weather to stay as it is. I know the forecasts are for a SLIGHT thaw on Friday but will that be enough to thaw a pitch that is bound to be rock hard?

They were a joint purchase between the Supporters Trust (mainly from sponsorship money donated by City supporters to the "Bike Ride To Staines" thing) and the club.
