From Alan Feeney (Cllr) Today at 10:35.Great news from full council that Cllr Gareth Jones' motion was carried, so Perdiswell can never be sold, leased, transferred or given away without full council assent rather than just delegated officer powers. It gives the area a new level of protection and I was delighted to support the motion.

As you say - not much has changed. At least it'll make that Feeney character feel warm inside as he tosses his latest titbits to the PPP Performing Seals who will lap it up whilst thinking such an action will make an iota of difference to anything.
At least he didn't out and out lie this time - so at least he's getting a bit better on that front.
Also nice to see Gareth Jones' name pop up - hadn't heard ANYTHING from him since before the local elections in 2015. Thought he'd fallen asleep or gone on a long holiday to Tasmania since then.
Hopefully he can get round to answering the questions that appeared in countless letters written to the WN back then!

I see it's now reported that the planning decision on Perdiswell, which was expected to be heard by the Planning Committee in December, will not now be heard until sometime in 2017. This is because there are STILL "some paperwork and administrative matters" that need tidying up. Good Lord it only took six years for Tolstoy to write War and Peace - someone remind me how many years this application has been ongoing? At this rate all the club's money will be gone before the application is even considered.
And by the way I drove past the Perdiswell site for the first time in ages yesterday. Some may think it perhaps understandable the local residents do not want a small compact non-league football ground to spoil the outlook. I see instead they have allowed a large bright lime green atircraft hangar (someone told me it's a swimming pool) to obliterate the view - as our friends across the pond say 'Go Figure'!

If I recall the first trust meeting on the road to Perdiswell was January 2013.

Thought they'd built another Asda in the city...... Horrific building on par with the hive
