Looks like we'll have a free Saturday on 5 November. We we're due to play Curzon Ashton, who beat York last night and will be away to Westfields in round 1 that weekend.

I might well use the opportunity to go and support Westfields that day

Be interesting to see if the Beeb cover the game on TV and put some cash into a 'grass roots' fixture.

Dartford v Sutton for me.Not a good fixture but I would be happy with a draw and take them back to the Lane for a replay.(You can imagine the nostalgia I get writing that!!)

For anyone at a loose end on Nov 5th. Sporting at home against Atherstone. All welcome.

Been to watch Sporting vs Cadbury in the Vase.....entertaining 3 v 3 at 90 minutes...had to miss extra time but 5 v 3 it finished. The Bromsgrove fans are passionate and create a fantastic atmosphere....they actually do use the shed to their advantage.

I went up on New Years day , when they were just about the only team playing, and thoroughly enjoyed it.So different to when we are there but , f course, it's their ground and they are following a side that is,hopefully, on the up whereas we are on someone else's ground watching a club that is seemingly doomed.

If it goes to a replay, then I'm thinking about a trip to Gander Green Lane, I haven't been there since I played there!! I've always had a soft spot for Sutton.

Andy was telling me about the day the Pitt Bros took GGL by storm!! I absolutely love going down there. You would recognise it immediately although there has been quite a bit of work done with the Collingwood End squared off and both ends covered. The wonderful old curved terraces are still there at the GGL end

Oh Yes, resplendent in our silver and purple kit! I kid you not!! I almost scored at GGL, I most definitely did score at the Chalk Lane Hotel in Epsom that night! Andy had to spend the night in the bath if I remember rightly!! Glad to hear that it has not changed much, a ground with character and charm!
