Whats your point exactly ?
Telford United experienced severe financial difficulties towards the end of the 2003–04 season following the collapse of the Miras Contracts business of chairman and sole shareholder Andy Shaw.
The club went into administration, and although supporters raised around £50,000 in two months, the club's debts totalled over £4 million, resulting in liquidation on 27 May 2004.
On the same day, Telford United Supporters Limited announced that a new club would be formed, which was named A.F.C. Telford United; a new club motto, numquam obliviscere (never forget) was also adopted
So basically in 2003/2004 Telford United went tits up, were liquidated and then the Supporters Trust put together a new club.....something you should be prepared for in the next two years for this club.
The reason they are currently struggling is down to bad management, high outgoings, little incomings etc and this has happened two seasons straight since they were relegated from the Conference National where they no doubt overspent on players...they continued to overspend last season in a bid to gain promotion straight back up...but as we know they were awful and spent months in bottom 3, crowds have also gone down by 1,000 since Conference National and another 2-300 since last season

I'm reticent to ask this as I don't want to risk some of the vile abuse that anyone asking questions often attracts on this Banter Board....but IF we get Perdiswell passed and IF we can raise the money for building the stadium, what is the next part of the plan. We obviously cannot go on losing £100k a season. Is it anticipated that we will able to attract local sponsorship to cover £100k, will we drop down a league or two to a wages budget we can afford, or are we assuming WCFC will no longer be afloat and we can 'do a Hereford'?

Did you not attend the EGM where the Board outlined the business plan?

Telford ran at a profit for ten years on the trot, You won't see downthelane ever make any mention of that.
This is more of a question how Football is run in general. If you can't afford it, you can't pay it. But unfortunately it is currently how Football is run. Fans are easily swayed with "We aim to be in the Football League in 5, 10 years" etc. It is one of the reasons why Nunnery Way dragged on for so long, too many people were not prepared to face reality. Pictures and Promises won the day.
You will see a few major changes in Football in the next few years and it won't be directed from the gutless FA.
