Looks a tricky one to win after a good start. 9 off 8 overs. South Africa must be wondering how they have let it slip from there. England have just passed the 100 after about 30 overs. More than enough runs already. Proteas fans must be hoping for an early declaration from Vaughan to give them a sporting chance.
Perhaps Smith should resign now? Perhaps he should change his hopelessly out of form batting order in the vain hope that SA can keep up with the testing pace that England's seasoned thoroughbreds are setting?
Perhaps Pollock and Kallis need to retire after this match and some of the other SA players should be looking for an Irish ancestor so that can at least enjoy the possibility of playing in a winning side once again?
I am expecting England to have wrapped it up by the time I get home at about 7.30pm.
All will be revealed shortly.

No, wrong again 121-8 - Andrew Hall is unplayable with his inswing. Will Andrew Flintoff manage to keep the same good line and length and use the swing to such good effect??

Be positive young Mazey, you wouldnt remember Headingley 1981. Maybe the Kensington Oval is playing like a piece ofcorrugated iron.
England racing on at less than 2 an over, current run rate for the innings is a tad over 3!!

South Africa must be demoralised by our awesome all-round game. It's the only reason i can think of which explains their shocking effort. Fancy leaving us with a couple of wickets in hand at this stage of the innings. They'll regret it later!

Still only setting a target of 3.27 per over for SA to chase, but it could be just a bit too much for their batsmen

Eng 154 all out (48 overs) SA 157-1 (19.2 overs) Thats Bad Quite a few positives to take out of this game going forward (!!!!!) - the main one being that there is a chance of revitalising Englands one day cricket management and plans. Perhaps we could even have a strategy relevant to the game we are purporting to play! Does anyone realise that in the past FOUR World Cups we have only beaten Pakistan from all the major nations. 11 years of humiliation.

I saw that, only beating ICC Associates like Netherlands, UAE, Canada, Kenya etc since the 96' world cup apart from Pakistan. I think a massive change is needed on and off the field.
