Can anyone tell me if a programme and/or a team sheet was produced for either of the him games played at Stourport against Aston Villa and Redditch?

For Villa yes, Redditch no (unless I missed one being sold, but I highly doubt it).
You can have my slightly crumpled copy of the Villa one if you like - was was 2 pieces of A4 not even stapled together, sold for £1. Although i'd thank whoever put it together - it made us look rather amateur. If someone had put more time and effort into this, and made a copy of similar size to that of a usual programme, we could have sold plenty at £2.50 and made a small fortune for the club.

Many thanks. It wasn't the intention of my enquiry but yes please, I'll DM you my details. And yes, a golden opportunity missed as far as the Villa game is concerned.

Due to some uncertainty about the programme for this coming season the offer of getting someone into do a proper publication for both games (with a view to carrying on for the rest of the season) was made to the Inner Board - but being the Inner Board they are - nothing was done about it (not even a kind refusal and thanks for the offer). Consequently the interested party lost earnings due to having to put other projects on hold / reject other commissions whilst waiting to hear back from the Inner Board.

Is Rob not doing the programme for the upcoming season then?

The answer is no, Rob stood down as programme editor at the end of last season. He is still our official photographer however.

I guess you'll find out on Saturday! Sadly I won't be there tomorrow (I'm at Chorley v FCUM), however hopefully you can post the new editors details up on here, once you have them!

It would seem we do have a proper programme! Hooray!

It looks good, although the job of editing has been "outsourced" and the Club will presumably be paying JJ Sports Promotions to do what Rob did previously.

The bit where they spell out the name of the opposition with a sentence beginning with each letter was a bit "school project" for my liking

Affordability is a question you would have to put to the directors. The club will certainly be paying for something that was previously done by supporters on a voluntary basis.
JJ Sports Promotions will I'm sure do a good job and will give the programme a refresh, which in my opinion was needed. The business is run by Terry Brumpton, who was associated with Hednesford Town for many years, and I'm sure is familiar with how football works at our level. The fact is clubs have to produce a programme. Some treat it as a nuisance, others as a flagship.
The previous printers, Excel, were very reliable and could not be beaten on price. I think it's safe to say that the club will be paying more for the whole package - design, print, editorial - than before but if there is an opportunity to gain more advertising income and increase sales then the deal might still be viable.
It's sad that the club have not been able to find someone in house but in the circumstances they have come up with a pragmatic solution. It's a bit like going out and buying a ready meal because you don't have the ingredients to cook for yourself.

They did have someone in house, who is a supporter of the club willing to do it. Sadly they never replied, even after me pressing about it face to face in preseason!

It was myself I alluded to in the earlier post on this subject. I was willing to do the job for nothing (as a supporter of what now looks like the dessicated corpse of a once good football club) as it's something I wanted to do for a long time.
