A suggestion, could we get some tee shirts printed with the message of the winning design. These could be printed locally, with the sponsors name on the back. They could be worn around the town to promote the cause and in the run up to the elections. They could also "go on tour"

Toys and Games of Worcester have just paid the £150 ! They wish the banner to be done and displayed in their shop window and at the FCUM game.

Great idea Woodenose. Wouldn't wear my city football shirt around town as i feel doing this is too chavvy, but would certainly wear a T shirt. If we could get them printed for minimal cost and flog them for a tenner we could donate the profit to the trust. I had a one off done for a fishing club via Vistaprint it was good quality and only cost £3 incl del. I'm sure if we ordered 250 of them they would be cheaper. Although if a local supplier can match the costs it would keep the money in the city. Good shout Woodenose!!!

I seem to recall our friends at Nutz4Sports making some t-shirts for the Chester and Liverpool Legends games, which I think were sold for a fiver each. It'd be nice to use local business as much as possible, although I believe banner prices locally were sadly too uncompetitive with what was found elsewhere. I'd suggest if we were to make some T's, it should have a very simple message, something as simple as ''#BringCityHome'' and maybe have the club crest on it somewhere. Attract attention with the shirts, explain the situation with our voices.

Do you think we could afford one of those really massive ones say 30ft x 100ft? I think 18ft x 9ft was the biggest that they did, but let me check... Just a thought, have you thought of contacting Villa I'm sure I've seen them with massive banners or Liverpool they seem to have a solid supply.

Just a thought, have you thought of contacting Villa I'm sure I've seen them with massive banners or Liverpool they seem to have a solid supply. There is no limit on size... The question is therefore whether we go for a bigger banner or more at the 18ft x 9ft size.

I think more would be betters impact against size & we have to think about what the ST are doing, I like the other ideas on what we could do, also could just drop a link on the football clubs mentioned, i have done this with Leicester & Coventry, have friends at MK Dons & Northampton so will try to get them involved...

I could always message Spion Kop and ask them about how they go about getting their flags as they have a massive variety and the Liverpool one that gets passed around the Kop must be atleast 300 x 100ft its huge

Stickers would be great. Obviously, i'm not advocating covering every lamp post in town in stickers, but wouldn't it be great... Car window stickers too.
Google: Flyeralarm - Best and cheapest by a long way.

I think we should try and go for several, 'small' banners (18x9ft is still a decent size). It means we can get several designs out there, rather than just the one, will be easier to store away, and should still have a good impact.

I'd go for one huge banner and another 1 or 2 smaller ones. 18ft x 9ft might sound big but I bet you can't read it from the other end of the ground.

Totally agree StGeorge, The bigger the banner the better. If we can get enough funds one huge one and two smaller. However i think the smaller ones should be at least 30ft by 15 or they will not be read from the opposite side of the ground, which is surely what we're after!!

The club have been inviting local youth clubs to come along to the game for free, wouldn't it be good if we could get some pictures of the youth teams holding up the banner(s) on the pitch, along with the city team and managers? Would surely be a good publicity shot.

Have just messaged Robin Walker MP on his facebook page. I suggested he should donate to prove what he states ie " there is no political agenda against Worcester city FC coming home " . I have also suggested he doesn't allow two labour councillors to beat him on this one. Suggested he donate £50 or £100 so that he wins local support for his party and beats Labour. I have also put this as an open message on his facebook page, so come on boys , go to his page and like my post, the more likes it gets the more notice he will take.

I believe TLB invited Robin to the FC United game via email (although he completely ignored that part of the email in his response) I've also tweeted him to invite him along with no reply.
His twitter bio is ''One Nation Tory. MP for Worcester since 2010. Speaking up for #worldclassworcs, businesses, skills & education in faithful city. Warriors & WorcsCCC fan'' Now, not to e picky, but he had the thought to say he's a fan of Warriors and the Cricket, but not us? Yet he calls himself a supporter of the club. Always retweets warriors and mentions them, but never us. Sorry Robin, but having the same old advert in the match programme, with no other input is a bit light.
If he came to just 2-3 games a season I'd have much more respect for him on issues around the club, as it is, I and many others just believe what he says is a fob off.

Based on that popular TV series - Yes, Minister (later Yes, Prime Minister) we need a 'photo opportunity' for Robin at the game.
We're proclaiming the day as a 'family' day etc., so if we had some sort of presentation to a local charity or, maybe, had local under privileged children as guests of the City board for example, his desire to 'be seen' on the day might be preferential to doing his paperwork.
If there is also local news (and hopefully, TV) coverage, it might prove a winner.

like the thoughts Dodger... Georgie has her operation today or tomorrow, & as we have been supporting her just wondered if we/club could put this to her parents, nice gesture IMO, also as we are inviting Schools, local football clubs etc. could we find a way in through this...

this is a reply from Robin Walker's FB page www.facebook.com/Walker4Worcester/, the answers to all comments are taken a little out of context at times, but he says he will match opposition pledges... Robin Walker MP Dear Mr Stringfellow, thanks for your post. Not sure the best way to ask someone for money is to imply that they're not interested and try to embarrass them by saying what their opponents are doing, still less to insult them when they don't get the chance to reply within 48 hours. If you had approached me directly I might very well have offered to help to a greater extent but frankly I have a lot of good causes ask for my help week in and week our and most manage it more effectively and politely than you have. I do want to see WCFC come back to Worcester so I'm happy to donate the same £20 towards the banner as others have but I would suggest in future you and your friends show a little more patience in your demands. As regards the match on 5th march I'm afraid I won't be able to make it but thanks for the invitation.

I have this vision of Robin's response really meaning "Here's twenty quid, now clear off".
We all probably realise that he should not 'interfere' with council matters - and quite rightly so - but surely more visible support on his part isn't unreasonable? An opportunity for the elected MP to see for himself the passion involved in getting WCFC back to Worcester might bring some reality to his calling.
My concern though regarding the lack of support is linked to Robin voting against an opposition motion (last June) to boost participation in sport and also voting against support for local grassroots sports clubs and associations.
