Do I think Ellis performed well this season? No. Do I think he's been a loyal player to us, sticking with the club when most left? Certainly.
We should give him some respect, he after all won a player of the season award or two, voted by us while with at the club.

Some people on here seem to be quite keen to criticise him now he 's gone. He 's gone, deal with it and move on.

I mentioned this before when Geddes went, but I wonder if he and Ellis were expecting big moves as others of last year's squad achieved? They may well have seen this season as an anticlimax and their attitude suffered as a result. As mark says though, it's time to move on.

Geddes and Ellis have been excellent players for Worcester and have provided fans with some fantastic memories. Players move on let's leave it at that and wish them well. Let's show our support for the team for the remainder of the season and applaud Carl and Matt for the hard work they have put into creating an excellent squad with so much potential.

We should move on and this all needs to be 'Fylde away' - if you excuse an awful pun Credit to Carl and Matt for not tolerating any hint of dressing room unrest

What do you all think about the Carl Heeley interview after the 3-2 victory on BBC H&W with Steve Carley ? . He slams the negative people who cannot wait to have a dig at the joint managers after three poor results, he confirms their has been problems in the dressing room. He stated that they made the decision to move on Vincent, Harrod and Deeney and the dressing room is now a happier one. Is Carl Heeley being to sensitive to comments made on social media ? . At the end of day prior to the Fylde victory we were on a bad run and joint third from bottom, so it was obvious people will have their opinions on things happening on the pitch. At home games this season the supporters have been supportive of our joint managers and I only remember one incident when someone shouted a comment and Matt Gardner reacted to it. It been a difficult season for Carl and Matt having to deal with a poor start to the season, discipline issue which resulted in suspensions and disruption to the squad, the loss of the under performing Sean Geddes and injuries to Lee Hughes, Wayne Thomas and Alex Gudger. We have a big game on Saturday against 2nd in the table North Ferriby United, so lets all get behind our joint manages and the players to move up the table.

I listened at the time and felt he was fair, if firm. It's early days in terms of how the atmosphere in the dressing room is, as we've only had 1 game under Jacko as captain, but it's a 100% win rate. If the players begin to have more fighting spirit in them, then I think it probably justifies ''moving on'' the players that we have this season. At home games the crowd have been a little quiet in my opinion (I sit in the middle of the main stand, so don't always hear the shed army lot). If we're playing poorly, there are plenty of groans at a misplaced pass, or ignoring a player in space (usually Dunkley). We only seem to get noisy in support of the team when they seem to be pressing for a late winner/equaliser. I'll admit, I do to from time to time moan and groan during a match, and could be louder in support, but the voice often doesn't last the full 90. If you ask me, as paying fans, we have the right to say what we think, but only if we can justify it. At the Corby game someone went down to the front at the end of the match and directed all his criticism at Matt saying he's a terrible manager, poor tactics, bad team selection, should be sacked... this is a couple of games after the incident when someone (maybe the same person) got under Matts skin, and had him speak back at the crowd to try and find out who it was. The guy who I saw at the Corby game didn't have a single bad thing to shout at Carl, even though he was much closer to us! I get that Carl is a fan favourite, club legend and the rest, but they're joint managers, so should receive joint criticism, and joint praise, dependant on how we feel, right? I still fully back the pair as managers, and I'm really looking forward to watching us play North Ferriby on Saturday, which isn't something I thought I'd be saying just a few days ago. (I must be fickle!)

10 points from the last 6 matches would appear to be good enough for me and other proper City fans. Carl is old school if you dish it out you have to take it.

So anyone that has a moan at anything is not a proper fan then? I have made criticisms this season which I felt were justified, does that make me not a proper city fan? What does it make me? I'm glad Carl comes out and says what he thinks, like the fans can do the same, it should spur them on to succeed.

Carl is old school if you dish it out you have to take it. agree on this but it must be from & to all as we have joint managers. as from previous comments about the person attacking Matt only, i think it is the same person & is defiantly not justified. both managers do a fantastic job & work together great, if you have an issue with them it must be aimed at both, & must be justified where i do not think it is either justified or needed... looking forward to Saturday & if all things equal hope to have Welsh relatives come & watch, lets rely get behind the team & managers, make lots of noise, we can be the twelfth man behind a great team... need to hear more noise of support from the stands....

Having watched the City for over 40 years, the Brackley result followed by the Fylde result is just about par for the course. City never do things as one would think, losing when you think they'll win, and vice versa. That's why we go ! Interspersed with the odd bit of magic in the Cup, I can live with the results, it's the hope that I can't cope with. Delighted to see the return of Gudger at Fylde - he's been sorely missed.

I'd agree with that last comment: always unpredictable! Is that why we go? Not sure: events at Hereford prove that fans will definitely follow a winning team, and based on our cup experiences, they soon disappear when you (a) start losing or (b) start playing badly.

I've always believed that people will pay to see a winning team regardless of the level they are playing at. City would get larger crowds if they were up the top of Conference North as opposed to the bottom quarter of Conference National. Hereford gates have been astonishing. A friend of mine sells tickets for their half time draw which is netting the Club £1000 every home game. Even if The City were in Division 4 (or whatever it is this week) they wouldn't get gates are large as Hereford are getting. And if it attracted the Morons who came to Sheffield I don't think I'd be going anyway.
As an aside - I'm really pleased that Symmo is doing well at Hereford. I might have to bite the bullet and pay a visit to Edgar St to see what all the fuss is about.

Symmo has found a club he can once again score goals for, good on him, I'm chuffed for him. The real test for the Hereford supporters sticking power is when they find a level that they cannot walk with 4-0's most weeks, and end the season mid-table, I wouldn't be to surprised if that level was ours - how many bankrolled or heavily supported teams that have had climbed up the pyramid with ease to find the North a stumbling block? Even look at FCUoM this season, who are the only club in recent time to give Stockport a run for their money on home attendances.

It's a shame these 4 thousand odd Hereford fans weren't about when they were struggling in the conferance They struggled to get 1200/1500 when things start to go pear shaped !! Echoing what's already been said its easy to follow a winning team Like every other club Hereford has its share of fickle fans

I fully agree with you cityspur, but remember a fair few of their fans would go to away games, but boycott home games in protest against the owners, often standing outside the ground trying to put people off going through the turnstiles. It doesn't account for the 2,000+, but a bit.

Hereford's game on Saturday was a strange affair; Symmo holding the ball up front, Nik Wright scoring (for Alvechurch), Mat Sargent in goal, a flag from some Malvern fans....could have been be a City game.

Apparently there wasn't anybody filming it on our end. Fylde don't upload highlights because they're worried that other teams can use it for scouting, so I don't think you've got much chance I'm afraid.
There are a few nice snaps of the game on our website though!!
