And a Fylde player sent off after a clash of sorts with Jamie Smith, and a penalty given for the incident too!
Nti steps up, converts! 2-0 to the city!!

2-1, sounds like they have been the team on top ever since our penalty. Need to tighten up.

2-2 shortly into the second half. 20th of the season for Danny Rowe the scorer apparently
Before the match I think we'd have taken a draw, lets hope we can still get that or better.

Smith came off, Burton on, and more recently Jackman off, Thomas on and recieved armband, so probably confirms that Wayne is our vice-captain.
still 2-2, City holding off the plenty of attacks. Sounds like Tyler has made a few off the line clearances. As I write, dean Waldron comes on for Cleet.

So many mad games today, clearly everyone in our league took inspiration from Norwich - Liverpool at lunch.
Harrogate 6 - 0 Moors FCUM 5 - 1 Lowesoft Staylbridge 3 - 5 Tamworth And of course Fylde 2 - 3 Worcester! FULL TIME!
Some much needed points well earned, I think we're 16th now, and we've scored 3 in a league match for the first time since Telford in November

Up to 16th in the table, but still incredibly tight down there. Results mostly went our way today (bar Telford) but the job is far from done.
Absolutely fantastic result today, with a below strength squad too, but does anyone know why Jordan Murphy was not in the squad today?
Deeney's departure may have lifted the cloud around the players, a new captain with a great attitude was exactly what we needed it seems.

well said & i liked Carl's interview on H&W, & as above not just better than Troy but also his wannabe brother, we have players who want to play for WCFC & a captain this is honoured to hold that position...

Seems strange that the boy's play great against good teams that play football, and not so good against those that just hoof or are down the wrong end of the table

Wow, didn't see that coming.
Looking at the fixtures I didn't think we'd see much return from Fylde and Ferriby so that's a massive 3 points.
Great stuff you city boys!

I haven't done the maths..... But what a really youthful starting line up as well.
Fantastic effort

What a really terrific result at exactly the right time! Sounds like a great team effort against one of the league's high flyers. Well done!

North Ferriby at home next, they kept their position of 2nd in the league today after beating Brackley 2-1. Will be a tough game, but hopefully this performance along with a hopefully strong and positive city support will give the players confidence to do as well as we know they can, once again.

The reason Murphy was missing is because of a death in the close family according to a good source

I haven't done the maths..... But what a really youthful starting line up as well. Fantastic effort I make it a total team age of 240, but may be a year or two shy if there's been any birthdays I've not accounted for. Works as average player age of 21.8 years. As birth date hasn't been accounted for, this to might be a small bit out. A youthful team non the less, exactly how a team should be! Excitable, ambitious 18-23 year olds led by a couple of battle hardened veterans. I wouldn't have thought we'd have such a young team a couple of months ago, as some starting lineups were probably closer to 30 than they were to 20. EDIT: A quick sum in my head makes the average age of the team we started at home to Telford (our last game scoring 3 goals) had an average team age of 27.5(ish)

After talking to Matt and Carl before the game we were really down to barebones. Neither Smith or any of the subs, except Burton were fit. There was a true team spirit tho that really showed through and the management and team deserves massive credit for a great performance.

I thought Jamie must have had something wrong with him as from the radio commentary, he didn't do to badly, and it wasn't really a like for like sub.

What a totally unexpected result: I had expected us to get a tanking. Credit goes for an all-round team performance, even if we did play 10 men for 70 minutes. Just shows the managers haven't lost the plot and that the team spirit amongst the squad is still there.
I was going to say our result was the shock of the day, but Solihull Moors losing 0-6 at Harrogate (their first away defeat in the league) must be the greater.
Can't wait for North Ferriby now!

Lost respect for Ellis when he stormed down the tunnel vs Corby. To make it worse I saw he favourited a tweet which appeared to show people jumping from a sinking ship.

He seems to think that because Troy has worked ridiculously hard in getting Watford to the BPL that he is at the same level as him, when he will never be. Good player yes, his mindset is completely wrong though.
