Decent looking crowd so far, including Willo and Hutch. Are there some loan signings to come?

5 minutes until half time and not a lot has happened. We look the worse side, but not much in it. Jackman is living up to his terrier nickname, and has been putti g in tackles and making passes all over midfield. Geddes is looking uninterested and very poor.

After about 80 minutes, I think I just saw the first successful Geddes tackle of the match. We might be up 2-0, but Geddes has been shocking Imo.

Deon with also on the scoresheet, 3-0. He has only been on about 4 minutes, on for Hughes.

Full time. City have been simply brilliant in the second half. Big club Telford easily dealt with.

To add to a great result, two of the goals came because of the best left back in the league. Firstly, Thommo got a header in and scored from a position where Campion should have been and then Campion fouled our man to give the free kick that Ellis scored from. Campion never looked any good to me when he was with us and I saw nothing this afternoon to change my mind..........'big club' my ar@e.

15th I believe!
Having beaten the big club, are we now officially a 'bigger club'?

that would be 15th, but whose arguing over a place, just need more points to keep climbing & Archie that means we are a bigger club in my opinion, Campion did nothing all game a great move by him (not). Jackman was player of the match & Geddies was the worst no commitment in the challenge & did not allot elsewhere...

Much improved second half after the shambles of the first. Not the first time we have needed a roasting from Carl and Matt to get us going, luckily we weren't a goal down at that point.
Thought Gudger was MOTM today, Jackman, Thommo (2nd half) also did well. Geddes was awful today, I appreciate there are games where nothing goes for you but it was his sheer lack of effort, just sauntering about that was incredibly poor today. Ability wise he is one of the best we have but his attitude and laziness is inexcusable. He's good, but not that good.
I also feel Minihan is not really good enough for us at the moment, he seems to be getting by on attitude alone but that can only get you so far. He seems to get beaten far far too easily and all he seems to do is hoof the ball upfield when he does get it, I don't remember him getting forward once in the 2nd half today.
Thought Telford were very poor when the first goal went in, confidence must be rock bottom after today and a 5-1 mauling last weekend. Enjoyed the chants aimed at Campion - who was also playing without a number, perhaps trying to remain anonymous?!
6 points out of 6, hopefully we can build some league momentum now, my only concern is lack of squad depth coming up to busy fixture period. Couple of (decent) loanees wouldn't go amiss at this stage.

Did anybody see a 3-0 win coming at half time.I thought it was going to be 1-0 either way. Deeney much improved the last few games. He wasn't bad before but not to the high standards we've been used too. Sean Geddes is a worry. Was last season a one off? As for Mr Campion he deserved every bit of the abuse he got. All he had to say when he left was something like "sorry it didn't quite work out" but instead he came out with all the bigger club nonsense & it came back & bit his backside.

Think Carl and Matt have found a little gem in Alex Gudger...has improved so much since the arrival of Sharpe and Tommo, he has been brilliant for the last month or so.
Sam Minihan...had big boots to fill when Willo left...again..has come on so much recently and looks good.
I said at 2.55 that i fancied a 4 v 0 win today only to be greated with laughter ... was so nearly correct.
After the last two games I can only see us pushing up the league and into the top half.
On the comments over the depth of the squad weve still got Harrad, Smith and Waldron to come back in, not forgetting the loan players we have out..Mcdonald and Nash.

Danny Jackman played well again today along with Alex Gudger who didn't miss a header. Ellis had a good game and capped it with a fine goal. The game changer for me was bringing Thommo on. We always look more confident when he's on the pitch.
To cap a fine day, Neils played some great music. Didn't think I'd get to hear Low and The Damned at half time.

It has been a huge week for city, with six massive points banked and much of the credit for what happened today can be given to the 'scratch' side that battled so well on Tuesday. as for geddes, I just forgot he was playing, We all know what he can do when his confidence is up so I believe he is worth persevering with, something will go his way and at least no one on the terraces is getting directly on his back., but we are all waiting for him to turn it on. As for campion don't you just love it when the pantomime villan plays his role to perfection.
By the way anyone see all those 'oh Worcestershire is wonderful' boys who where all at Sheffield today?

All players have bad or indifferent games but why are we having a pop at some of our players? I can understand it if we have lost but we have just won two on the trot???.minihan in general has done ok this season and geddes has not played for three weeks, so what do you expect.i remember the end of last season deeney was poor and look at him know.NTI was very inconsistent .thats why these players are playing at this level and not football league. You're right DCX geddes has got ability and he needs to be more consistent with it BUT it won't help to knock our young players like some are doing on here. We are worcs city not man city

Good win against fellow strugglers today. First half nothing to chose between the teams and our defenders had to be on their game to keep Telford out. Second half was a different story with 3 good goals. Thomas unmarked beyond the far post got the important first goal with a looping header that dropped inside the angle of the near post and crossbar. Second goal by Deeney was a terrific strike from a free kick 25 yards out. Finally Burton's goal was pure class from the edge of the box, one touch to control, second touch to shoot and the third touch came from the goaly when he picked it out of the net.
Not wishing to tempt fate but Gudger at centre back is getting better with every game. Jackman is in a rich vein of form at the moment and a strong performance from Deeney. As has been mentioned above cover is limited so hopefully no serious injuries or suspensions.
Finally I'd forgotten all about the Campion issue, but the fans in the second half helped to remind me and him and Nti obliged on a couple of occasions by going past him. Better off without him IMHO and to play someone who wants to play for the team.

Gudger has been an absolutely tremendous signing, another one plucked from the lower leagues - Carl and Matt have done well there. Training with Thommo will bring him on so much as a player as well. I don't want it to seem like I am hating on Minihan, he does a job, I just don't think he is a particularly good footballer and struggles with anyone with anything above average pace. You look at George Nash when he was playing RB, yes he was out of position and again not particularly quick, but he at least distributed the ball well and always seemed to have an idea of what he was going to do with it. I would like to see Jamie Smith given some time at LB with Tyler moving to the right, and hopefully this may happen when he is back from injury. George Nash to be recalled is an excellent shout, I really rate him and was surprised he was loaned out, does anyone know how he is doing at Banbury?

I personally think Minihan is doing perfectly well. Forgetting the games against Sheffield and Gateshead, as they are against higher leagued opposition, I cannot think of a bad game he's had since the start of the season, when almost all the team were playing badly. He's nothing special, but is certainly good enough for our level.
Gudger is a real talent, and like others have said, if he learns from Thommo (as well as Sharpe, who has been solid too), then he could easily move up a league or two in a year or so.
-warning, anti-Geddes rant ahead- For me, Geddes has too much backing from the fans, and perhaps from the managers too. First half of last season, he was brilliant, and earned himself a lot of support rightly so, but I honestly don't think he's been very good for a long while now, and so deserves some criticism. Like I put up during the match, his first successful tackle that I saw was at about 80 minutes. He doesn't run as much as others, he doesn't tackle often enough, his passing has been very poor, he's got a temper which has already got him 2 reds this season (both stupid) and his set pieces are arguably worse then those of Deeney and Jackman. If we had another fit central midfielder, I would expect them to start ahead of Geddes right now.
He needs to get his act together to get in my good books, that's for sure.
Finally, a big well done to the club for having Georgie, the young girl with Cerebral Palsy as the team mascot, and allowing a bucket shake at half time and after the match, in an effort to raise funds for her operation to help her walk! She seemed to love the occasion, even going around with the bucket shakers, despite her condition!

For me, City's stand out player was Alex Gudger but, as always, it's a team effort so well done to all the lads.
Let's hope we can get some support at Brackley next week. I know it's only the FA Trophy but it's £4k in the coffers if we win.

fully agree with secondjack on Minihan, & people who say he just hoof ball need to watch some of his distribution like yesterday he went down the wing & his cross was brilliant Nti nearly squeezed it in, that just one occasion, but he is gaining in confidence so give him time, as for Geddes, all well said secondjack, he was good last year in parts but needs to make an effort to tackle, & yes there are too many fans still supporting him, he needs to be told how bad he is, i did this with Deeney earlier in the year, dont think he was impressed but since then has gone back to being a class player most of the time, the one thing that frustrates lots of us is his & Geddes stupidity with free kicks & corners, 99% of the time are disasters. Sharp needs to be given more encouragement as he has settled in well & is a big part of our defence.. Jackman in this form should be a number one choice & his corners yesterday were pretty good & caused problems, my player of the match, so much effort & slotted into different positions when changes were made.
As for Georgie she brightened my day whilst meeting the opposition with Mum & Deeney, & i think we should support her needs more, what are your views on people donating prizes & then in the new year having a raffle to raise funds, i will talk to Mike Davies for his build but with your support it would make easier to go forward...

Good win yesterday. I agree, Geddes had a bad game. In the grand scheme of things, it was his first game after returning from suspension (for another stupid red card), so he can be allowed a bit of "not being on it".

Secondjack,I wonder if you have ever played at a decent level of football? I think not.when you play at this level or higher you need someone who connects the play from defence to the attackers, otherwise you end up knocking long ball, doing that bypasses the midfield which more times than not the ball keeps coming back nulyfing our passing game.geddes is one of our best players along with jacko with regards keeping the ball and creating attacking options. I agree with some of your comments100% about stupid red cards and inconsistency.but look at the bigger picture. when we lump it we bypass these players and make them look ineffective, surely you can see that?
