Who knows? Getting any kind of update from the club is like getting blood from a stone! Very unfair to have a go at the lack of details when everything is being organised largely by a small group of volunteers. We have 5 fully filled coaches already, so over 250 going up by coach at this point. Most make their own way so expect many more than this to have been sold.

Just saying the club could build the anticipation a bit by saying we've sold x00 or x000 so far. 5 coaches isn't great though, didn't we take 10 or 12 official coaches to Coventry?
Not a dig at the volunteers helping out

Is there any news of local football being suspended for the day, that would be a big gate booster.

I'm not sure how many coaches we took to Cov, but if it was 12, that works out as 600ish, we sold over 3,000 tickets.
In theory going off the same numbers from official coaches, we've sold over 250 coach seats, we'll have sold over 1,200 tickets sold so far. Mere speculation, but that sounds brilliant from my point of view!
I'm expecting us to challenge the extra allocation target of 2,200

Well if all 'coaches' are around the 53 seater mark and we've got around 12 coaches, that's close to 500-600 seats. Add in those travelling by car (to drop the partner off at Meadowhall shopping centre for Xmas shopping while the other half goes to the match) and those letting the train take the strain, and suddenly we've got a few more.......and, of course. it's still only Monday Dodger.

If I remember right we had about 480 ish on official coaches for Coventry. In fact big shout out last year for the local coach companies who made great efforts to get busses on and short notice. And same again this time plus Mike Davis putting it all together. If you've signed up for the coach this time then help would be appreciated if anyone can help Marshall a coach. Easier than it sounds ! Just count folk on the bus, get on yourself then same on way back. Mike tells me that helpers will get free bus ticket for helping out. We have a couple of volunteers so far but PM me if you can help.

Tickets for Saturday's FA Cup tie are selling well
As at last night the Club had sold around 1,400 tickets for Saturday's FA Cup tie at Bramall Lane. Currently we have 7 official coaches booked.
There are still plenty of tickets available for purchase and supporters can get their tickets from the online shop or Tourist Information Centre.
The Tourist Information Centre is situated next to the Guildhall and is open between 9.30am and 5.00pm for the rest of the week.
The Club has still not been advised that there will be a pay on the day facility so would continue to advise supporters who are planning to go to the game to purchase their ticket in advance.

1,400 is a very healthy sounding figure in my opinion. Of course sales will probably slow down a little, but I think we should be targeting 2,500ish now.

I asked at the Guildhall this morning how sales were going and the lady there said they'd sold about 750 and another 750 had been sold on-line, so there's your 1500.

A lot less than went to Coventry then, which is a shame, but understandable, i.e. Cov was much closer and on a Sunday. However, lets see how many more just turn up on the day?

latest news from Worcester News
WORCESTER City supporters have snapped up almost 1,900 tickets so far for their side’s FA Cup first-round tie at League One outfit Sheffield United on Saturday (3pm).
The Blue and Whites will be running at least eight official coaches to Bramall Lane.
City were roared on by 3,300 fans 12 months ago when they sealed a memorable 2-1 victory at Coventry City, who also play in League One.
And 2,000 City supporters made the long trek to watch Worcester hold Scunthorpe United to a 1-1 draw in last season’s second round.
Club secretary John Jordan said: “There are still plenty of tickets available and supporters can get them from the online shop or Worcester Tourist Information Centre.”
The centre at the Guildhall, High Street, Worcester, is open tomorrow and Friday from 9.30am to 5pm.

Here I am-Ticket safely in possession, seat booked on Supporters bus & colleague covering Saturday work and I now have the gout and am very unlikely to go. Apart from the away replay at Lincoln a couple of years ago it is the first FA Cup tie I have missed since a 3rd(I think)Qualifying round tie against Cirencester in 2000. Including trips to Stamford, St. Blazey, Barnstaple, Holbeach, Godalming(!!!),Hampton and Richmond(also !!!),Belper, Hemel,Sutton Coldfield, Gornal,Bromley, Weston SM etc etc. Gutted doesn't even come close. Best of luck to the lads and I hope everyone has a great day

Just a thought, Wednesday are away on Saturday........ Wouldn't it be great if they helped fill the away end to see United lose. It would be like having another man on the pitch along with the increased revenue. Oh, & I'm sure I'm correct in that they are the Royal Blues so anyone wearing 'colours' would be in blue & white.
