So there are 3 live FA Cup 1st round games on TV right?. 2 on BT Sport and 1 on BBC2.
One on the evening of Friday 6th, one on Sunday 8th and the last on the evening of Monday 9th.
I think that BT Sport/BBC will go for these three.
Didcot v Exeter City Salford v Notts County FC United v Chesterfield
However if City can get a draw at Sheffield United then we are odds on for a live TV replay - right?

I believe Salford also have a documentary on the Beeb this Thursday, so they might overlook them to avoid looking like favouritism, that said, BT could still pick them up.

If we get the Monday evening TV slot does that mean Saturdays home game with Bradford may still go ahead? We have played Saturday and Monday before. The Bradford game is still showing on the website. If it does happen like that then Hughes is available for Sheffield I think.

Salford will no doubt get the BBC nod as they're all gooey-eyed about them at the moment. FCUM have no chance with the beeb after refusing to switch the kick-off against Khalsa - www.fc-utd.co.uk/m_story.php?story_id=6454Dodger.

Hats off to FCUM for taking that stance, and saying it as it is. I hope that we'd have done the same, if it was us.

I'd forgotten about that, Dodger, well spotted! BT could really have their pick of the games!
Must say having seen the Mobile MOTD - I wouldn't much want us to get that.

From the BBC website:
The first-round action kicks off on the Friday with live coverage from one of the most anticipated ties on BBC Two at 19:30 GMT, presented by Dan Walker along with Trevor Sinclair and Jermaine Jenas.
On Saturday, 7 November Football Focus will be live from 12:10 at one of the day's big fixtures, with FA Cup Final Score showing all the key action as it happens from eight selected matches on Sunday, 8 November.
Every goal from every match will be available on the BBC Sport website and app as part of the BBC's extensive digital coverage, providing fans with action as early as 17:15 on the Saturday.
Finally, there will also be a comprehensive 90-minute highlights show on BBC Two on the Sunday at 18:30.

EEERMMMMM! I may be wrong but I am not making my travel plans just yet. I think Sheffield may have jumped the gun here, so far as I can see the 8 Sunday games have NOT yet been identified. The three live games have but unless the TV companies have abandoned the idea of Sunday matches they have still to be announced. This FA link is misleading and makes no mention of Sunday matches. www.bbc.com/sport/football/fa-cup/fixtures

Yes. the FA site only identifies the 'live' games as opposed to those that the beeb may be planning to cover on the Sunday as part of their regular updates from the selected games. Dodger.

Wouldn't it be good if we could bring the Bradford Park game forward to sell tickets at..... That would be a double whammy in terms of gate income.

i have just read this article & although agree with some of the article, wonder how they seem to think that they can get the FA to do it the FCUM way, i think they need to realize that the TV companies have a big say in what happens in football or any other sport, it is governed by £, not anything else...

So the media darlings get the live matches but still FCUM want to preach their sanctimonious twaddle!

I do hope FCUM will stick to their principles and will not be accepting the £67,500 commercial incentive that comes with the inconvenience of a Monday night tv slot.
