Former City player Tommy Crawley has passed away. He was only with us for one season in 1965/66. He memorably scored both goals in City's 2-0 win over Hereford on Good Friday 1966, a game that attracted a crowd of 9,211. In total he netted 30 goals in 56 appearances before moving onto Nuneaton, where he starred in their FA Cup run the following season. m.nuneaton-news.co.uk/Legendary-Boro-FA-Cup-hero-dies/story-27824847-detail/story.html

If I remember correctly he was signed to replace the great Johnny Fairbrother. He was a terrific striker - we missed him the following season.
