On a positive note for City, the Pitmen are also 'troubled' at this time and we may have an opportunity for a 'bounce back' win? From a negative point of view though, their support might not be as numerous as previous meetings, plus there is also the Worcester show to contend with. Add to this the poor transport links for a BH, and the finances from the game may be hit where it hurts. Still optimistic, though Dodger.

I may have misinterpreted the notes in the program by Mike Davis, but it seems a bit nasty to me.

This is terrible, our only player having a decent game is Tyler. Our new striker seems to have a decent head but its not achieving much.
Ref is as always dire, Hednesford 9 should be off by now.

Full time 4-1, our lads need to gel quick or we will be looking to avoid the drop this season, not improve on last season.

Anyone want a cheap season ticket?

Tyler Weir far and away our best player. Todorov up front looks useful, seems as though he could fit the target man role, offers a threat in the air, able to lay it off and is mobile. Danny Jackman brought composure when he came on. Only the end of August but the signs are looking ominous for a long hard battle to stay in the league. The way we are shipping goals is putting pressure on the whole team and at the same time giving our opponents confidence. Oh for a Wayne Thomas to galvanise the back line.

Abject and the embarrissing display. It's going bsck to two seasons ago when we kept getting all these new players in, different one every week and not knowing what line up or system we should play. How rob Elvins gets anywhere near the starting line up is beyond me, he should never have come back on the first place. Tyler was the only one to have a half decent display. We are relegation fodder and there are no signs of it letting up. That was s poor hednesford side today that won with ease. Is a joint manager working?! Who's making the decisions on team pickings? Poor again. Not happy.

Shared accountability rarely works.

Yes a thoroughly miserable afternoon. 3 of the goals we shipped were easily defendable and down to individual errors. Having said that Hednesford were by far the better team and we were lucky to go in at half time just 2-0 down. Seems to me too many of our players are just not on their game Ellis and Sean G were shadows of how they can play. Nti, despite his early good form was awful today, an inability to control the ball and too easily going to ground. We were beaten to that second ball almost every time. Too many individual errors. The defence all at sea, apart from Tyler who stood out as the only proficient defender. How good did Tom Thorley look in midfield?
I have to say it is a bit of a shock, I saw the first game at Gainsborough when we passed the ball around, dominated the game and looked a quality side. Now it seems confidence has gone and it's all a bit desperate.
BUT this is the time when management and players (and supporters) show what they are made of. We either lie down and die or make a fight of it. The joy of football is that the unexpected often happens. Let's hope for some immediate relief and the start of an unbeaten run against Stockport!

The joy of football is that the unexpected often happens. Let's hope for some immediate relief and the start of an unbeaten run against Stockport! Agreed. If any happened to read some of the comments on the Hednesford forum following their 3-0 home defeat to FCUM, it looked like City could put 5 or 6 past them this afternoon....but we didn't! They obviously came out today in the right frame of mind whilst we were (maybe) still focussed on that defeat at Brackley. Getting things right for next week could see us get something at Stockport and maybe, just maybe, we could kick-on from then? Dodger.

Hopefully this is the "Bradford Park Avenue" turning point of this season, because at the end of August we are in a relegation battle. What was worrying was a reluctance to put some challenges in and at times a serious lack of ability. Like others have said Tyler stood out but thought Todorov and Sean kept going to the end.

Another shocking display today and looks like we are in big trouble with no sign of addressing the problems in defence and up front. I feel their are a number of internal problems on and off the pitch going on and needs everyone to be pulling in the safe direction for the good of the club to survive as this level. The route course of our problems have been down to poor recruitment of players in the pre season , in defence we have Alex Gudger and Kieron Morris with both been relegated to the bench and Clayton Mcdonald has been sent away to lose weight and get himself fit, so we have three new signing not in the side. Up front we have not replaced Mike Symons, we have signed Ryan Rowe who has been a real disappointment so far. With the loss of Kyle Haynes and Darren Campion and the loss of players through suspension with the side not playing a settled side has not helped our cause. The question we need to ask is the joint manager situation working ? , and do we have confidence in Carl and Matt to sort our problems out to get us back on track ? .

On a slightly different note I wonder how many noticed that after the game, and after all of our players had gone down the tunnel, Carl Heeley waited by the touch line and after shaking hands with the Hednesford Management Team, Subs and staff he waited and shook hands with each and every one of the Hednesford players as they came off the pitch. Carl is a class act, how many other managers having suffered a bitter defeat and undoubtedly feeling very disappointed would put themselves out like that to congratulate the opposition? He sets himself high standards. I am very disappointed after what I have seen in recent weeks. BUT I have no doubt that Carl & Matt will turn this around. They have done it in the past and I am sure they will do so this time. Those suggesting that our recent form is in some way related to Matt being made joint-manager are way off beam. Matt is not doing anything differently to what he has been doing over the past seasons. The problems are with new players who have not yet gelled together or adjusted to our level and established players who are out of form. But as I say, given some time, Carl & Matt will sort them out and get the ship back on an even keel.

I may have misinterpreted the notes in the program by Mike Davis, but it seems a bit nasty to me. Can you enlighten me Zeke? I don't have the program in front of me so I wont "quote" things. But basiclly he started of by saying that (for him) there is confusion over the various Community Clubs CBS/CIC. What they entail etc. He then talked about the Supporters Club and then jumped to talking about Cabbages and pests. The rest of the notes were about getting rid of various pests that want to destroy the cabbage. Saying that shouting does no good! Why talk about gardening? Which is why I personally interpreted it another way. I could be wrong (I usually am)

Quite right Stamoo, but I wonder if some of the problem lies at the feet of the Board and the Trust,as there seems to be problems between the two sides, not knowing if we will return to Worcester or indeed survive if planning is turned down. There were some notes in todays programme(which I have not seen)that makes you wonder just what is going on.This must have an effect on Carl and Matt. This needs to be sorted out quickly so everyone knows what is going on

It's all very unsettled at the moment, on and off the pitch, and this is clearly manifesting itself in the performances. Pre-season saw three centre halves with wingbacks, and that looked horribly disjointed, and flat four looks no better. Confidence at the back looks shot to pieces, with Kieron Morris looking afraid to go anywhere near the ball on the deck in case he makes a mistake, and communication is non-existent. Someone needs to step up to the plate and show some leadership, get vocal, take responsibility and organise this defence, snuff out the pathetic goals that are being leaked right now. Personally I'd put Deeney back to left back and put Weir in midfield, he can drive on and cover the ground in his terrier-like way.

Too many times we are having to come from one nil or two nil down, this then drains any bit of confidence the rest of the team have.the centre half situation is obviously the problem. Deeney isn't protecting the back four, ie trying to break up the oppositions play and when he gets the ball he is trying to knock 40 yard balls to feet which get either intercepted or go out of play which then allows the opposition to attack us time and time again. Tyler, I agree was our best player,Sean never stopped working and Danny jackman helped to calm things down . Why oh why do we play Nti down the middle when he can tear most fullbacks apart, I hear he doesn't want to play on the wing, TOUGH,he should play where he is told.. Sort the back four and I honestly believe we will be ok because there is enough talent going forward once they get their confidence back. They don't become bad managers and players over night.
