A generally better game for city, Clayton was good in defence compared to friendlies, Tyler did very well playing both left and right back when on in second half. Attack throughout was however terrible, Nti and Rowe were very bad.
Evesham were down to 10 men on the pitch after a scrap moments into second half. City should have kicked the ball out before our second goal, United had a man on the ground in agony, clearly not putting it on. City boys had ample opportunity to allow physio on for him - This ruined the match for me.
Also, nine bleeding quid for Evesham?!?

Didn't find that entertaining at all.
With regard to the new players on show, Nash was by far the best for me. Rowe must be a better player than he looked tonight if Carl and Matt have trie to sign him before.
At the moment and based purely upon what I saw tonight I think scoring goals is still going to be a problem this season.

Harriers must have established some sort of record as they were the holders of the Cup for less than three months!

I wasnt there so I cannot confirm if he was in agony but players are taught to play to the whistle, even if sometimes we think they should kick it out.

It is play to the whistle , but it made us look very unsportsmanlike. We must of had possession of the ball for at least half a minute and 7 or 8 passes between the lad being injured and us scoring. Many players at any level will see an opposition man hurt and boot it out. Injured party gets treatment, fans are happy and almost always the ball is thrown back to you at the restart. Although technically a cup game, it's really a pre-season game for fitness, but in my opinion several of our players didn't care about the Evesham player. Perhaps I'm being too cynical about it, but I just feel had it been the other way, we'd all be up in arms.

The Evesham management didn't care much about him either, putting on their last sub as he lay there.

I was there and happy we played to the whistle, as the referee is entitled to stop the game for an injury. Like the way the lads are showing a no nonsense attitude, we won't be bullied like we have been on occasions in the past.

I have to agree with the comments above about our forward line; on the basis of what I saw at Evesham (admittedly only one game) I think scoring goals is going to be a problem again. Second-half we bossed the game completely and should have scored more.
I was impressed by Clayton McDonald; he looked like another Thommo, and Alex Gudger played well. Campion looked a bit fiery and will get himself sent off a few times if he plays like Monday night. Nash was certainly very busy, whether to any purpose is another matter. Pity we didn't get to see Minihan: will he be fit for and playing on Saturday?
Best happening of the night for me though was that I won the half-time draw!
