Thanks Dodger – an interesting article. It is great to see the effort put in to set up these phoenix clubs and good luck to them all. I am always interested in how supporters view these clubs in relation to the former club i.e. a continuation of the old club or a new club? Sadly up here we have had more experience of this. Rangers are now a different company but everyone sees them for all practical purposes as an extension of the former club, playing at the same ground with the same name and, crucially retaining the honours won in the history of the old club. Some years ago the former Airdrieonians FC went into a liquidation. Clydebank FC changed their name to Airdrie United moved to play in Airdrie and continued playing in the Scottish League. They then changed their name to Airdrie and later to Airdrieonians! Former Clydebank supporters bought the Clydebank name and badge from Airdrie United and re-launched as a club playing in non-league football. Despite what has happened most supporters see Airdrieonians/Airdrie United/Airdrie/Airdrieonians as the same club despite what the officials records say. In England, although not due to financial demise, you have the Wimbledon/MK Dons/AFC Wimbledon situation. Some phoenix clubs make no attempt to try and link to the history of the former club but are just proud to keep a famous name alive. It is the one area where footballer supporters still decide themselves what happens. So for my tuppenceworth " If it looks like a duck, swims like a duck, and quacks like a duck, then it is probably a duck” So if they wear white and black, play at Edgar Street have a bull on their badge they are Hereford’s team and the best of luck to them - until they play City of course!

More chat on here about the Bulls and Scottish football than there ever is about my beloved City ! As an exile, where do I go for the goss? There`s precious little news on the sterile OS.
