It is with great disappointment that we can confirm Morell Maison has been relieved of his duties as first team manager.
The club would like to thank Morell for his efforts and achievements over the last 14 months and wish him well for the future.
The club will make an announcement regarding the vacant position as soon as possible.
Until such time, there will be no further comment.

Doesn't this belong in the jokes section?

I don't have time to put every development at Kettering Town FC into the jokes section I'm afraid.

Very true, could take you the rest of Ladaaks reign to do that. You could just open a joke thread with one word in it - Kettering!!!

Not sure he is favourite really, just top of the rumour mongers list. Westley likes to own the club as well as manage it, and most clubs wouldn't touch him with a shitty stick

Graham Westley has emerged as a strong favourite to become the new manager of Kettering Town.
The former Stevenage Borough and Rushden & Diamonds manager's name was being touted as a possible replacement even before Morell Maison became the third manager in nearly 16 months to be sacked by Imraan Ladak. Maison's departure came just two days after the Poppies hopes of winning the Nationwide North title were dealt a near-fatal blow as a 3-1 defeat at Hinckley United left them trailing Droylsden by two points with just two games to play.
Ladak is certain to appoint a new manager for the remainder of the season at this stage. He revealed whoever is given the job will, for the time being, have just one target and that is to win the play-offs and a place in the Conference next season. The poppies chairman said "The new manager will take training for the first time on Thursday ahead of our game at Stalybridge Celtic on Saturday. "We will have something sorted shortly. But the appointment will only be a temporary one with the sole aim of getting us into the Conference which is where we and all the fans want to be"
Westley is not the only name to be linked with the job already as current director of football Ron Atkinson is also a potential candidate to be given the nod for the remainder of the season. Other names being mentioned as well are head coach Danny Nicholls, Player/Coach Darren Caskey and ex England international Carlton Palmer. Outsiders could include former Nuneaton Borough manager and poppies record appearance holder Roger Ashby.
But Westley seems to be the name on the fan's lips and he would become the first manager to have been at the helm at both Rockingham Road and Nene Park. He was controversially sacked by Diamonds at the end of February having led them to safety in the Conference thanks to an eight-match unbeaten run. Diamonds fans were calling for him to return during last weekend's 1-0 home defeat to Kidderminster Harries.

Taken from which newspaper?? I love the bit by Ladak about it only being a temporary appointment to get them in the Conference, so basically, appoint a manager to either a) win both games in the league and hope Droylsden lose at least one - so its a two game tenure, or b) do it via the play-offs, and then its a 5 game tenure. Either ways, or not at all, its f**k off after a maximum of 5 matches.

I think JP's point was that it reads every bit like a professional press release, with the spin purely on the positive side of the decision.
It stinks!

hmmmmm...... Charmian says: "Ron has agreed to remain a friend of the Club and I wish him well. Ron felt that it would be better for any incoming manager to be able to work from a clean slate."
