Tinpot club. Hope we smash you at the rescheduled match. Funny, I thought the ref called the game off, not Worcester City

No covers on the pitch, can we sue for loss of revenue . The pitch should have been covered from at least Wednesday . Should have learnt from the last time I could go but am so angry. Useless groundsman don't seem to want us there . we will soon be playing twice a week +Kidd games, hope there is no snow /rain or frost or it could be more games being played on crap pitch

Both!!! For both set of fans its annoying & shambolic but once referee has said its off what can the club do really. The real annoying thing is that its the second time this season that this fiasco has happened. If anyone is to blame it got be clown who didn't cover pitch.

I went into the top goal mouth after the t**t of a ref called it off, I am also a qualified referee and I have to say that the pitch was perfectly playable.my boots had mud on the sole and all the worcs players also thought it was perfectly playable.the excuse from the ref was that he was worried about the conditions worsening? There is no frost predicted so how was it going to get worse. As for blaming the groundsman. I thought the pitch looked the best it has looked for some time.take it from me that pitch was playable 100%

Got a couple of signings that could not get done in time for today but keep quiet about it as Glawster fans will yell conspiracy theory!

Tyler Weir wanted it called off so he can whip a** when the game is re-arranged COYB .Have to say this is all a bit of a joke! Never would have happened at the Lane realise what a pitch and ground that was, God I miss it,hope we come home very soon! Any news on the planning application? Or are we waiting for the outcome of the General election? Hope not let's get the plans on now .

It did happen at the Lane once in a while due to the bit by the main stand would not thaw out.
All Conference teams to have 3G pitches is the answer.

It wasnt playable at 11.20. By 12 when i went back on it had improved loads.
The local ref inspected it and deemed it playable.
The match ref was worried that there were hard patches over the pitch and that the conditions could change for the worse.
Both sets of players couldnt believe it, not one player complained about it.
This has happened before, SGL due to player Kidderminster in the FA Trophy. I think we cleared the pitch of snow (may have been frozen conditions)...local ref passed it fit only for the match official to call it off

To help get the City back home we all need to VOTE at the coming elections.Only one party wants us back ,so they will get 6 votes from my houshold

+++++ From the WN... [Carl] He explained: “I had a call from the Kidderminster groundsman at 9am saying he had inspected the pitch and that it had frozen to the same level as the past week but by 12pm every day it had thawed out and had been perfectly playable.
“He advised me to get someone there at 11am to double check that it was progressing as expected. I was there for 11am and I was seriously concerned when I saw the pitch because there was no sun. +++++
I'm not understanding why the groundsman isn't edging on the side of caution & protecting/covering the pitch anyway, just in case.

You can bet it'll be covered ready for Kidderminster's game against Woking on Saturday!
They're desperate for cash and need the game 'on' to get the money through the turnstiles, the bar, and the pieman.

Think that the best approach is to say on official sources that a local ref has had a look but the game is 50-50 until the match official has arrived and had a look so supporters can make their own call whether to risk travelling or delay it (as I should have done)

WORCESTER City have signed two players on loan from Conference side Southport. Winger Micah Evans and left-back Johnny Lynch and have both linked up with the Blue and Whites ahead of Saturday's Conference North trip to Colwyn Bay. Evans, 21, has played 15 times for the Sandgrounders this season, scoring once, while Lynch, who is also 21, has appeared six times. Evans joined Southport last summer having spent the previous campaign with Hereford United, making six starts for the Bulls. Lynch also joined Southport in the summer after being released by Championship side Wigan Athletic. He has already spent a month on loan with Bradford Park Avenue this season, playing in the Yorkshire side's 1-0 victory at Aggborough last month

Just a thought, why isn't this information on the WCFC web site. I'm sure there are a lot of people look at that, not on here ??

I suppose they only update their web site during office hours, most information come from the Worcester News and other Non League sites,so if I see any info I copy and paste and put on here. There is a web page called For A new Stadium at Perdiswell Park (fans app)which does the same thing (copy/paste) this is manned most of the time and adds information as soon as possible.Take a look if anyone wants, after all we all want the same thing.

It was announced on the Facebook page and Twitter last night. Usually we wait until its on the website as some of these websites have been wrong before and weve looked silly.
When its announced via the official channels then you can guarantee its official news.
