When was the last time it felt so good to be a City supporter? Feels a bit like 1978 all over again! City in the national media, Bob Geldof with a record at number one, a general election coming up in the new year. One difference is that back then Liverpool were kings and Chelsea were destined for relegation!

I didn't see my first game until 1979. But, regardless of results I don't remember a squad where every single player gives full commitment and passion every single time they step on the pitch. The teamwork is second to none and it really is a great time to be a City supporter.
It's a shame that the "FA CUP fans" don't seem to want to witness this golden era every week!

Too true Zeke. I've watched the City since 1969, and seen plenty of dross in my time, so these times have to be enjoyed. The last time the Club had this kind of feel good factor about it, was back in the mid 70's when Nobby Clarke arrived, and through sheer personality and a great eye for a player, lifted the club out of the doldrums. You are certainly correct about the squad ethic, which is indeed second to none. They are a credit to themselves and the management.
