Ummmm, they score, a city "so called" fan immediately punches one of them in the face. BUT they started the trouble As I said before, let's hope cctv or the camera captured the start of it. AND I suppose the 50 plus muppets that joined in were totally innocent as well. Must have been a nice day out together for West Ham & Millwall fans....... Get a grip stgeorge Spot on Jimbo. Although unknown to me in the first half that the group were following Greenwich, there was some singing from the group of youths aimed towards someone in that stand a few minutes before half time. It then became apparent to me when it all kicked off that the group the youths had been singing at and pointing / waving fingers at were indeed the so called Greenwich fans....so they actually provoked them to start with. It all got a little bit silly, think it was all over within a couple of minutes and two of the group were led away from the ground. Both of those groups should be ashamed of their behaviour. I just hope that the situation on the flares doesnt come back to hurt the club in anyway. Unfortunately its becoming a problem up and down the country . On the game, it was a typical big game nervy WCFC, but we got the job done and a big well done to all of the players and coaches. In the hat and would love Sheff United or Bristol Rovers.

Yesterday was agony - again! Why do we seem to get so nervy after taking an early lead? The first half was instantly forgettable: really boring.
Second half - well, after that equaliser I was thinking "here we go again", typical City - nervy when a big game comes along, and it really was nerve-wracking agony for about 20 minutes, with me thinking it was going to be a difficult long trip away night replay (which we certainly didn't want).
Thank God (or somebody anyway) Daniel Nti came on and gave us that missing spark. All in all not an afternoon to remember, except for the fact that we're through! By my calculations, (excluding our share of gate money), that's £24,500 we've made from this cup run, which is very important to our budget.
I shall be glued to BBC2 at 7 pm tonight, hoping for a good draw, and that's the magic of the FA Cup.
And by the way Niels that Prokofiev music (Montagues and Capulets from the ballet music to Romeo and Juliet) is ABSOLUTELY FINE by me!

Not on your nellie!! I'm not playing something by a conservative MP. I might play something by opera singer Jessye Norman, however.

Sticking to the football, definitely City's first half. Whether the visitor's were overawed, gave us too much respect or we were playing better 1-0 was a narrow advantage to show for our efforts. Despite our control in this period their keeper, the goal aside, was not unduly tested. A couple of efforts from Wright going inches wide. The second half progressed with little seen of City in the attacking third. The visitors with nothing to lose gained confidence and with their more direct play started to ask questions of City's back line. When they drew level courtesy of a mistake the signs looked worrying for City. Too many times in the past we have lost to supposedly inferior opposition. I for one would have taken the draw with 10 mins to go. But this team rallied and pressed on to get the winner and job done. For me their keeper was a class act, in the second half his handling and positioning was assured, he spilled nothing, cutting out numerous crosses before they could develop into dangerous situations. He denied Nti when he was through on goal when the scores were level, pushing the ball behind for a corner (I think we scored from it?). Then Wright with a terrific save from a blistering shot that would have sealed the victory. If the visitor's play 3 levels below City then one can see why they have had a terrific run. Their keeper oozes calmness and confidence (I am not sure if has played at a higher level) which spreads through their defence. In midfield they can battle with the best and they have a direct approach up front which troubled us. Here's hoping for a home draw. Craig Holloway the keeper in question. Has plied his trade at teams such as Ebbsfleet,Bromley,Margate and Dartford. What he's doing playing for GBFC,is anyones guess! Believe someones flashing the cash with big ideas for the clubs future! How often have we heard that one before!?

Niels, sorry didn't mean to be critical of your music, I think you do a great job, I particularly like the touches of George Formby, but that music when the players enter the pitch is the one that has attracted adverse comments. Its a great piece of music but I and others find it rather grim and it gives a sense of foreboding and impending doom, not ideal when we are hoping for a win! I hesitate to mention "time is tight" but whatever anyone thought about it, it was upbeat and lifted the spirits and something a little more lively might generate a more hopeful atmosphere?

Perhaps we could have 'Time is Tight' for a few games and see what the reaction is. On leaving the ground most often played is I gotta feeling by the Black Eyed Peas which I think is a great choice. Of course it always sounds better when we've won.

In the early years after WW2, the team always ran out to `Twelth Street Rag` by Pee Wee Hunt. Inside-left Gordon Medd usually treated us to a demonstration of his boogie-woogie skills during the `kick in`. Different times, different music.

Of course it always sounds better when we've won. I hope that Time is Tight is saved until we (hopefully one day) get a new ground of our own - & then played each game again (like we used to do). Lots of clubs have their own songs, & Time is Tight is ours. Having it go away while we are in exile is kind of symbolic, & if we ever come home - so can the song.

That is my feeling on the matter. And come the time when we return I think we should do a survey to see what the fans want. Lots of people love Time Is Tight but a fair few don't, we'll see at the time.

No offense taken. The way I saw it, with playing the Prokofiev piece was to build a bit of tension followed by the happy happy of Madness as the teams entered the arena. As I said some like it and some don't, but please note that we haven't lost at home for the last 8 months, so perhaps it's doing a job.
