Outplayed first 10 minutes. Fouled to death the last 35 minutes. Terrible officiating in my opinion.

Sounded a great win today and well deserved based on the second half. Looking at the fixtures earlier today I wasn't expecting anything from Ferriby and Barrow so 3 points is a nice surprise! Nice to see Nti get off the mark for the season too.

A great result given being 1:0 down from almost the start. We're both penalties close to bring saved as the Worcester News feed suggests? Great result! Well done!

Fantastic, gritty game well played all of City players but in particular how good did Dunkley look when he came on.

Outstanding result after a terribly slow start. A real battling performance that shows this team has heart and character. Tommo was magnificent and no one is allowed to physically dominate and bully us while he is around. Having said that Tristan Dunkley was the 'game changer' after the first two electrifying runs the Ferriby defence were terrified of him, he won the first penalty with his direct running and played Symo in for the second penalty award. Outstanding, he surely must be given a start next week? Pleased for Danny Nti that he got both goals but he was a lucky lad, he missed two golden chances in the first half and the keeper was extremely unlucky on both spot kicks as he got good hands on both of them but was beaten by the power of the shots. Saying they were top Ferriby showed little guile or craft their main tactic being to hoof it up onto the head of that giant centre forward. Their defence was a little rocky when put under pressure too, if that's the best they can do I don't see them as dominating this league by any means. And as no-one can accuse a winning team of sour grapes I have to say the Ref and his officials were awful, petty, indecisive and weak, a couple of times the game threatened to get totally out of control through poor decision making and allowing blatant fouls to go unpunished. And that last penalty when Symo was hauled down was a clear goal scoring opportunity and should have resulted in a red card for the defender. The only thing you can say in the refs favour was he gave the two blatant penalties. A great win, one I am not sure we would have achieved at the same stage last season. Now to build on this, I think we can, and continue to improve.

Great win against an ugly side with great backing from the home support. Both penalties denied a clear goal scoring opportunity = a red card.

Now to build on this, I think we can, and continue to improve. I agree with all of the above. However we could have been 2 down early on, the keeper was caught trying to clear up field, their player shot against the post and the ball rebounded nicely into Vaughan's hands. They were a strong side in the same sense as Mike Tyson and just as subtle. They went through our players time and again and were grabbing onto Symons for the whole game. Justice being done when a penalty was awarded when he was hauled down. The discipline of the team is to be commended under the most extreme provocation. Up the City.

My first visit yesterday due to holiday commitments and I was very impressed.
Agree with everything above and my only criticism is that we need to be more clinical in front of goal. We shouldn't have been behind at halftime and showed great desire in the 2nd half against a very physical side and dubious official decisions.
I think there is more to come from probably the best footballing side we've had in many a year.
Up the City

Thanks for all the feedback from yesterday. It sounds like a grand performance where the team kept its collective cool against a physical team and battled well in the right spirit. The report on North Ferriby United's website has no complaints with the outcome of the match although it does get Worcester and Gloucester muddled up in a couple of places. The reports on this board make good reading as I read them over 300 miles away with my mid-morning coffee in my City mug!
Lasr season in this fixture (it was the away game possibly) someone posted words to the effect "it was a good job that we did not have to play the south of the village as well!" What a change!

Stamoo has it all summarised neatly with his post, which was spot on. Why on earth Symmo was booked when he took the punishment he did I don't know. The NLP has Daniel Nti down as the "Man of the Match" - totally wrong in my view (should have been Tristan Dunkley). If we hadn't had the two penalties he may have found himself booed off the pitch after those two shocking misses in the first half.
I must admit my heart was in my mouth with both penalty takes, especially after the keeper got his hands to the first, but I guess the sheer power of the shots was enough to take them over the line. North Ferriby were a one-trick pony IMHO, with the big man (Denton?) up front their only weapon.
Wasn't it great to see Dunkley taking on defenders? They obviously were "frit to death" of him: whether he would last 90 minutes at that pace remains to be seen.
Having seen the highlights on the WCFC website I am convinced that first goal from Nick Wright, which was disallowed, was NOT offside.
