H/T 1-0 Symo . Great game so far. Well deserved lead so far. Only about 70 Tamworth fans.

Well I guess in all honesty a draw was a fair result after all three or four times it looked as if Tamworth had scored and that last block from Hutch was some kind of miracle, how he managed to get his foot there I will never know. A draw not a bad result against a good Tamworth side but somehow it feels like a defeat. But there were some positives, at times we looked very lively and passed it around very well. It's frustrating that at times we appear to be over elaborate on the edge of the opponents box and give the ball away when a shot at goal might be better. We really start to play when we bring George and Tyler into the game on the overlap. The defence looked sound apart from that one stupid lapse that gifted Tamworth the equaliser. I thought George Williams, Symo, Ebby Nelson Addy, Hutch and Thommo were very good, Danny Nti and Nick Wright were less effective. Let's bear in mind the fact that it's still early days and at times we are looking like a footballing side and an improvement on last season. An away win on Monday would be good!

Thanks for the usual great and balanced report Stamoo. Sounds by all accounts - including the Worcester News updates - that the Tamworth equaliser will not be good viewing when the highlights are on the website. Sounds overall like a steady start as the new squad starts to fit together. Good to see Mike Symons on the scoresheet - a great confidence boost for him.

Not so sure I'd agree with you on this one stamoo, I thought we deserved a win. Yes Tamworth looked dangerous at times & we did well to keep them in check, however Tamworth were lucky in that the ref was pretty lenient with them at the beginning of the game when we could have had several free kicks in dangerous positions for them. We could also have had two penalties in the second half, one from a shirt pull which virtually grounded our player & one when the ref allowed a blatant deliberate hand ball. First game for me this season & I must say I was impressed with the style of play & the commitment of all the team. One very silly cock up in defence spoilt the result, but hey there were very few other mistakes in defence. I would agree with the edge of the box comment, I got the feeling that a shot should only be taken if the goal mouth is empty, but I'm sure that will be put right as the team develops & confidence grows. Entertaining game.

Like the first home game this was entertaining.
I thought Ebby did well in the way that he screened the ball, stopping the forward passes. George had another good game but for me Hutch was man of the match. He headed every ball clear and his blocking was crucial.
Every home match the supporters behind me are screaming for our players to shoot when they near the box. It's quite clear that if they shot it would be blocked and possession lost. It never fails to surprise me the tempo of the play at this level. As soon as a player has the ball he is very quickly closed down. Ebby and George were good examples of this yesterday.
I think the team are looking good and it is by fine margins that we are not getting the breaks that get the points.
Keep up the good work lads.

Having looked carefully at the video highlights I can see that it wasn't a really stupid lapse in defence that led to the Tamworth equaliser after all. Hutch and Thommo both went for the same challenge in the air, which I guess counts as an error, but the wicked bounce which no one could have anticipated is what wrong footed the defence. So apologies to our defence and all in all they are looking very solid and consistent, a massive improvement on last season. Now for Brackley........... Come on City!

In fairness I think Tamworth created quite a few chances and a goal looked on its way, however it came. But so did we. It could have ended up as another 3-3!

Looks on the video like Rob Purdie tried hard to give us a penalty with his hand ball in the area! Ref should have seen it.
