After yesterday's sparkling win I would like to say a heartfelt thank you to Carl and Matt for the way in which they guided City to safety this season.
It's never good to say 'I told you so' but in the dark Xmas days there were a number on this message board, who I note have rarely posted since, who were vociferous in demanding a change of management and prophesying relegation and doom. They have been proved wrong, I am delighted to say.
In a dire situation, a losing streak, in the relegation zone, with little money or light from the end of the tunnel, Carl and Matt kept cool heads and used their experience and knowledge to persuade some key experienced players to come to City and also got the best out of the existing players to help drive us up the table. That is good management.
Also a word about our Chairman and Directors who refused to panic and backed the manager 100% through those dark days. That is good governance.
For a Club who, given our recent history are lucky to still be alive and should by rights be in turmoil (look around at others, Vauxhall Motors, Hereford etc) and look at where City are at present. Sound management on and off the pitch, fiscal realism, a strong Supporters Trust, and the real prospect of a brand new home in the City. The future is far from secure yet but both on and off the field I think there is every cause for hope and optimism for a bright future.
Well done City and thank you, keep up the good work through next season.

Hear, hear Stamoo.
"prophesying relegation and doom" ha, ha - even at the height of the Nobby era such voices could be heard! Is this a Worcester trait?

It would be very nice to retain the majority of the players who finished the season.

I`m backing the Trust approach to club ownership all the way. After all it could hardly prove worse than `the ship of fools` who preceded the present excellent Board incumbents. But a word of warning; the Conference site is presently bidding farewell to the `member ownership` of Barrow FC who, apparently, are having to revert to a corporate structure in order to survive.
Can I implore both the Board and Trust officers to find out what`s behind this failure of the Barrow structure so that all their mistakes may be avoided?

Can I also echo everything that has been said, yesterday's was the best performance I have seen from a Worcester City team for a long while and I came away with joy in my heart. Let us hope we can start next season in a similar vein.

I fully support everything that has been said. With all the positive things going on behind the scenes, e.g. the Trust's work, the Perdiswell project, the sound management from the Board, etc, there are great grounds for optimism. We are likely to look back at Season 2013/14 as being pivotal for the future of the club and the brillant management of the team in the most difficult of circumstances has played a key part. I have said it before - but I will say it again! - as an exiled supporter I have been very impressed with Carl's dealings with the press. Even in the difficult days in the first part of the season he clearly came over as having confidence in what they were doing but he also showed that terrific quality not widely known in football and certainly not by the average supporter- patience! Carl and Matt knew their homework on players, even under reduced financial circumstances, would evenutally pay off and indeed it did in the new year. Well done indeed!

Yesterday was a tremendous end to a surprisingly good season. It also looks as if our search for an additional goalscorer may be over after Tyler's performance!
Congratulations to all involved with the Club and here's to a brighter future thanks to your hard work.

So am I right in thinking my "Bring Back Boddy" campaign is doomed?

Surely a natural fit for Hereford to sort them out?

Agree with the positive comments and want to give us supporters a self congratulatory pat on the back as there has been none of the moaning at players that went on at SGL with us all backing the team so much so that in 2014 City only lost one game at home, narrowly to the eventual champions Telford. Congrats to George Williams for winning both Players' awards and well done to Ellis for playing all league games and Daniel for getting into top 20 of League goalscorers.

Idiots moaning about misplaced passes and the manager playing people out of position. Too thick to understand that with nothing at stake it was an opportunity to see how players coped in a different role to their usual one, clearly with next season in mind.

Agree with everything said above, can I also add on a personal note thanks to John Jordan and Colin Layland....these two guys deserve credit for putting in the hard yards getting us into Aggborough for the next 2 seasons and helping/organising with the running on matchdays.
Also Simon Gregory and Rob Bazley for the running of the club shop and all the other helpers over the season.

Couldn't agree more, a brilliant job by Carl Heeley, the best manager this club has had since Nobby Clark, just think what could be achieved with some money??
Off the pitch, a great job on managing existence, and expectation, I think the club will lose money this year, but this is a managed loss. On a slightly disappointing note, its sad that the club had to hit rock bottom before eyes started to open, a lot of this could have been successfully avoided if action had been taken 6 or 7 years ago. But we are where we are.
There is an absolute mountain of work to do still. So lets not get complacent in the close season. We've got to get money back from SMD, their whole concept of "compensation" for pissing the club about for 10 years is laughable, but they are so big and powerful, they call the shots. The work to do on the Perdiswell scheme will be huge, getting through planning, and then getting buy in from the community. So who's up for it?

Just a quick word to add my thanks: what a note to finish on for the season, completely out-playing Boston from start to finish.
A heartfelt thanks to all those who have contributed to City's survival this season. I have to (shamefully) admit that at Christmas I was beginning to plan for life in a lower league, but it's thanks to Carl and Gards that we turned it round big time.
If we can add some goalscorers during the close season we have the nucleus of a good team for next season, and boy are we going to need it. There's some big clubs on their way into our league next season.

However, until we get a new ground, happy just to survive every season.
