Are you `sort of` suggesting that a `new` WCFC, once enshrined at Perdy, should adopt a new badge, Verner ?
Until the seventies many clubs used their city/ town coat of arms - as we have always done - but the the marketing boys came in and patented specific club badges in an attempt to register `their own identity`. Birmingham City and Leeds Unt. are two clubs I recall who upset their local councils in so doing but long term I don`t think it did either much harm.
So whilst, in the long term, I see no reason why our club should not take this step, the delicate negotiations in process with the city council and the desire to establish harmony in a community cub on council land would not, in my view, see this as any kind of priority for quite some time.
And beware `badges` is a prickly subject. Only last year Everton FC suffered dogs abuse for pre-emptorily changing their badge without fan consultation. They have paid a high price this season with shelves of unsold goods!

I wasnt for one second suggesting changing our badge, I just came across this subject on the Non League Forum and thought I would share. To be honest I thought it looked horrible.
For me a badge is an identitiy and changing it would never cross my mind.
