City have signed defender Wayne Thomas, most recently with Tamworth but had stints at Stoke, Southampton and Burnley as well as a stint over in the Greek top flight.
He goes into the squad for tomorrows game vs Stalybridge Celtic

His pedigree looks awesome lets hope he is the man to replace Grimes.

We badly need another big man in defence - if only to free up Aaron Brown for more productive tasks!

I suppose the younger ones can do the running around for him, he can provide the experience. Lets hope he's better than Matt Regan whom we had on loan from Tamworth earlier this season.

Tamworth Board seemed to be expressing surprise at letting such an experienced defender go - especially given Tamwort's current predicaemen
Regan incidentally seems to be going down well there!

Having seen him play today first impressions were good. Not much got past him. Solid, dominating, built like a brick out house. Just the job.

He really looked the part, although not quite as quick as some; just the sort of player we need in defence.
