Great game of football today in tricky conditions. Fully deserved win and a confidence booster going into the festive run of games. Well done Carl, Matt and the lads.

A nice Christmas present from the team today. They ran their socks off, the early goal giving them that extra lift and belief (confidence?). In the second half they dug in and somehow managed to keep out the increasingly frustrated visitors, who knocked the ball about nicely but fortunately for City not quite able to convert their pressure into goals. A little more steadiness with the final ball and we might have sneaked a second to give the fans a less nerve wracking final few minutes. It was a game where the fans were behind the team throughout, willing them to win the challenges. I am not sure if the players felt this but they responded, getting their foot in, making strong tackles. Great stuff. Hopefully we can build on this.

A great result. An early goal and being able to hold on the advantage sounds like a great team performance as well.

Very well done to Carl, Matt and the Lads for a crucial win, they had to scrap and fight to grind out those 3 points. It's winning games in this manner that will see us escape from danger. Excellent work rate and team spirit.
Incidentally, Sunday afternoon after a crucial win and only 4 posts? I wonder how many posts there would be had we lost! Makes you think ...........

Last minute shopping? Also a nice touch by the public address announcer for a round of applause for the young ball boy opposite the main stand. He was probably no more than 3 or 4 and slightly bigger than the ball itself, but he was enthusiasm personified as he ran 30-40 yards to retrieve the ball, his little legs a blur. As for the footy its this fight and spirit that will do our chances no harm at all.

Bloody wrapping for me, I can't believe that everything I've bought is a really silly shape! A great start to Christmas week with the win, some much needed confidence there for Boxing Day. No reason why we can't get a win at Solihull. All we need to do is nick a goal or two and our defence can do the rest, a clean sheet again yesterday.

Good to see E N A getting a start and delivering with the winning goal. An under used player in my opinion as I think he offers a bit of creativity or tries to.

That was a very significant win; a defeat would have had us firmly entrenched in the drop zone. I also agree that we can pick something up at Solihull on Thursday
I also see that Thorley only made it onto the bench for Hednesford on Saturday

I saw him playing for Hednesford against Gloucester a couple of weeks back and he was awful

Sorry I couldn't post on Saturday (the Strictly final!) or Sunday afternoon, but it is silly season for us bellringers, so it was duty at Hallow, All Saints and Worcester Cathedral for me on Sunday.
A really hard-earned three points for City on Saturday, but how well-deserved: every man jack of them fought like tigers, and the reception they received at the end was really quite heart-warming. No mention above of Jose Veiga, who's blinding save prevented Harrogate from equalising.
Only query I had was the substitution of Taundry, who I thought was having a good game; but perhaps Carl and Matt were thinking of the upcoming rush of games over the Christmas period and resting tired legs.
I do agree about Ebby Nelson-Addy: he always looks the part to me. I would also like to see Ethan Moore continue to be a first choice up front: he worked his socks off again on Saturday, and he harasses defenders so that they always look likely to make mistakes when he's around.
