Well I'll start this one off, just got back in from a bitterly cold night.
What can I say other than same story, different oppo. Plenty of the ball particularly going down the wings, but a lot of trying to walk the ball in rather than cross it. When we did cross it, it wasn't ineffective, but instead all sorts of one -twos going on that result in losing the ball.
Thought Guiseley were poor especially their big clogger of a No.5.
We all know what the expect from that ref by now and he's not getting any better, truly woeful.
Need to start converting thee chances though.

0-0 might indicate boring, tedious - but while not exiting, edge of the seat stuff it was certainly absorbing. No clear cut chances for either side, but City went close on a couple of occasions the best being a cushioned volley from Weir that their keeper did well to keep out as he back pedaled towards the far post.
Noone had a bad game and as mentioned above while looking solid we did not have a real threat. Leslie in midfield had some neat touches, while Taundry did his best to subdue any threats. Deeney seems to have slotted well in midfield. The front 2 of Moore and Nti put plenty of effort in, closing down the Guiseley back line who passed it around, but rarely threatening.
Hopefully something to build on.

Really enjoyed the game, we did have a lot of possession without creating a huge number of chances. But I felt that we looked solid today especially the two central defenders which is not something I have been able to say much this season. Moore and Nti put in a lot of work tonight as did our central midfield. Without doubt I came away feeling positive and if we can keep a settled team I am sure we will pull away from the bottom.

Thought we played well and looked the better side, just didn't look like scoring. Steven Leslie made some skillfull touches but for me Richard Taundry stole the show. He was the best player on the pitch.

Leslie and Taundry are brilliant but also a mention for the defence, yet again another clean sheet.
Thought we were the better side on the night and reduced Guiseley to shots from 20+ yards
With Angus and Hales going back to their clubs maybe we can now find ourselves another striker, we certainly need one, if not just for scoring just to back up Glovet, Nti and Moore

A 0-0 draw against a side who had won their last 6 games is a good result in my mind. We had the better chances but a draw was a fair result. Taundry was superb.

Taundry was outstanding, seems to have filled the gap left by TT's departure. We did really well at both ends of the field but just can't score. Our left back had our best chance.
Appreciated Niels playing Hard to Beat at the end by the way.

Don't like 0-0 draws, but can't fault any one of the City lads for their 100% effort, and on another night one of those chances would have gone in, like Tyler Weir's shot cum centre.
If our other midfielders would take a leaf out of Taundry's book: he sure knows how to tackle, and his opponents know it.
But, like Niels said, a clean sheet against a team that had won five in a row (could be six, I thought it was five) it was a well-earned point and a great workout for Saturday's Trophy game.

Solid defence first half, two lines of four that were well discplined. People around me were moaning that Guisley were passing it around all the time and they were right but it was all on the half way line with barely any threat. Second half was more positive with more chances created but nothing completely clear cut. Not sure about Leslie yet but I thought Taundry had his best game and Deeny is settling into midfield. Everyone worked hard, out of the relegation zone so onward and upward
