I don't know what has gone wrong! I can't work out whether its the management, players or both? Something just isn't right!

In fairness yesterday on another day was 3 points, a penalty that wasnt and a load of chances that just would go in, I think we are due to hammer someone

I obviously meant 'wouldn't go in'

You seemed pretty sure what was wrong a couple of weeks back.

It would be great to see a win tomorrow but we're not going to be hammering anyone any time soon. Certainly a win would put a smile on everyone's faces but from the lack of posts here it seems as if many are beyond caring.

No fit defenders, an untried forward line, a group of youngsters and a low gate -just the game we might do something. (Remember City v Bedford 12/12/1959!!!)

All in all this situation is not doing much to encourage folk to go out and buy a season ticket :-(

Jupu's notes the lack of posts and while his reason might be right I wonder if others are thinking what more is there to say? Reading the forum from afar over the past few months the cool and deep analysis of the reasons for the current form has covered everything. Although it doesn't win points - and with only one or two isolated exceptions - the level of discussion on the forum is a great credit to City fans compared to contributions in other forums on clubs going through a form slide.
The great Yogi Berra said of baseball what is equally true of football "Baseball is 90% mental - the other half is physical." Where is the confidence going to come from to turn results around?
Thanks Glevlumblues for the memory - the WCFC History tells me a 9-2 City win with 5 scored by Scots!

Could it be that they only win at home during British Summer Time?

auldreekie you echoed my thoughts exactly, it's certainly not apathy, it has all been said many times on this forum and I agree that the general standard of analysis and debate here is a credit to City fans. A GREAT WIN TODAY much needed and great to see the lads huddle together in obvious delight at the final whistle and get a tremendous reception from the true fans!

Really enjoyed the game yesterday. Well played, City - stuck to it, played some good football, looked threatening and took chances.
A word to the City fans - brilliant. Some gallows humour before the game, and unfettered joy when Symo scored.

What a relief to get that monkey off our backs! You would have thought we had won the league when THAT goal finally came (and there's a super picture of Symmo scoring it in the WEN too). You could see the cloud lifting almost visibly after that. The only person I feel sorry for is Ethan Moore, who ought to have had a goal by now for his efforts: he's a real tryer and his first touch is brilliant. I thought Kieran Morris had an excellent game too (who needs Greg Mills?!).
The only sour notes were Matt Breese's unecessary challenge on their number 2 after just a minute or so (which threatened to spark off a mini riot) and a plonker of a referee who issued eight or nine cards in a game which was never dirty. The card he issued to Symmo for "dissent" (when all he did was wave his hand dismissively) was ridiculous. He was rightly booed off at the end and I hope we don't see him again in a hurry.
