Never even a remote possibility. I'm not complaining, as I think we are very lucky to have as good a team as we have considering everything, but play-off contenders? Not in my book-Mid table side-which is where we will finish up(IMO)

Agreed, its incredible that they can get so close, but 9th or 10th is probably as good as can be expected in reality. Finishing 7th or 8th would represent a successful season.

I think that if we had 50 points from the games played, then within the context of the league as it is, the play-offs would have looked a decent possibility, but still not a certainty.
I dont think many of the points we have gained have been scratchy - though I think we got lucky playing against nine men at Guiseley.
Amid our eight draws and ten defeats, it is relatively easy to see where 9 points could have come from on another day - BPA, OC, Gloucester and Staly come to mind.
Even back at Xmas, I anticipointed picking up some points against Histon, VM and SM, but those sides have played well at the Lane, and deservedly come away with the majority of the points.
That all leaves us where we are, which is where we are!

Does Guiseley's result against Colwyn Bay give us hope for the weekend? Or am I clutching at straws?
