What a save by Matt Sargeant. That was absolute class!
What is it about our defence in the last 5 minute of a game. Put your foot through it and take no prisoners!

Wow what an atmosphere. I have not felt like that watching Worcester for a long time. Fantastic support and so good to see so many people making the effort. Our star terrace performer Mr Sadler as usual lifted and united spirits, which were already on a high in town, by leading much of the singing and cheering the lads on! So good to hear near continuous supporting wall of sound for much of the match and all rounded of with that all important wonderful equalizer. I am going to do my darndest to be there tomorrow night and I want all of those fans that could not make the trip yesterday to be there tomorrow night to get behind the lads and support them to victory!

That was a great save.
Shame you missed the hilarious sending off in the first half.

A chap in a white shirt made what looked like the motion of spitting towards the keeper, Weston stewards had a word but took no action so can only think he did the motion but didn't actually spit, probably just to worry the keeper and to put him off. More to the point who the hell is MATT Symons ??

YES HE DID I was only a few feet away & saw it clearly...... Absolute disgrace !! But I did not recognise the guy who did it & I did not see the stewards having a word with him

What is it with our club and cup ties? They seem to attract these idiots who just come along to drunk and behave like animals. The disgrace at Corby year before last very nearly made me not want to bother with away games any more.
Matt Symons is a little guy, plays behind Mike Symons....he's pretty small, so you may not have seen him........

I am not in any way condoning the incident, if indeed it occurred, but please don't let it detract from what was a great turnout of city support in general. These are the type of fixtures that make supporting Worcester City the wonderful experience that it is and why so many of us cause ourselves enormous hassle and expense to do it.

Sheffield are you Wakefield in disguise? You seem to have the wrong opinion of most City fans. Corby fans fans abused City fans threw bottles and spat at our fans I take u saw that! Get your facts right before you slate good honest and genuine supporters.I get the feeling you like stirring the mucky stuff!
As for Sammy Saddler Mr Worcester! Great goal, City fans did what they were supposed to do, support our team. Fed up of stirrers on this website.

Not sure which sending off Sheffield thought was hilarious but in my view Reece's challenge was very silly and even if their keeper made a meal of things it merited a straight red card.
Let's be honest, if it had been one of their players on Matt Sargeant we would have thought it was a sending off. Will be interested to see if he starts on Monday.
All credit to the rest of the City team, we were down to ten men and 1-0 behind after 20 minutes, it didn't look promising at that point but they worked really hard to get something from the game.

FairPlay to Sam he sang non stop yesterday as did everyone, that's what makes the FA Cup special is fans supporting their team right until the end. None of our supporters were at fault yesterday apart from the alleged spitter, hopefully the same numbers and atmosphere will be down the Lane tomorrow night

Yes he did spit at the 'keeper, we saw this clearly. No idea who the guy was, the 2 stewards spoke to him and he used the excuse that he had asthma and when he shouted it came out without any control. He even showed them an inhaler apparently hahahaha. Sam Sadler was an absolute star!!

Julian
Do suspensions kick in immediately from the FA Cup, unlike the league?
I would have thought - if is available - then Charlie would be a likely starter given that this is the 4th match in 10 days for both clubs, Saturday was hard work for 10 men on a heavy pitch, and having sat out most of the game, Charlie will be the least tired. And he's been playing well of late.

Surely the ban will be 3 games for a straight red.

Would it be wise to play Reece? Their players will have him down as a marked man; I think Breeze (of whom we saw the best on Saturday) must start tonight. Sargent should also keep his place in goal after Saturday's display.
It was interesting that when we had 10 to their 11 we outplayed them. I would take us to win the replay, but no doubt we will make hard work of it.
Will it be the same referee as Saturday? If so he should be ready for Lloyd Irish (WSM keeper) and his antics. Full marks to the lino on the railway side of the ground for spotting the simulation when challenged by Symmo in the 2nd half. The ref originally gave the kick in WSM's favour, but after the lino called him over and told him (we were about 3 feet away so heard every word) that he had shouted out before Symmo got anywhere near him, he reversed the decision and booked Irish instead.
Here's hoping. C'mon City.

It used to be the same ref for cup replays, but I think that rule changed a few seasons ago - hopefully!

I thought we might be better with the same ref (card happy tho' he was): at least he would be prepared for Lloyd Irish's antics.

I suspect those fines are of the kind most clubs do - 5 minutes late for training, bad haircut, trying to get off with a girl (normally a bigger fine than for succeeding), admitting to watching the X-Factor ...etc

He is available. Ban, likely to be one game, starts on the 20th It is currently showing as a three match ban on the FA website ... www.thefa.com/TheFA/~/link.aspx?_id=8B47CB40728B4EAC98BDBDD02F8473A6&_z=zI'll tell you what I saw, as I didnt see the actual tackle. The ball played forward that he and the keeper were both going for took a very unusual bounce as it hit the rubber scrappings that were on that damp bit of the pitch. Wasnt the normal trajectory of a bouncing ball off a dry grass pitch.

I heard they have appealed it. It also said in the paper that its a one game ban, although, that may not be correct. Charlie Reece tweeted saying he is available to play tonight.

Means Reece will be out for Bromley, Boston and Brackley (unless we have another replay in the cup).
