A new thread to just discuss the (completed) signings that have been made for the new season.
Tom Thorley, Rob Elvins and Matt Birley have all signed up for next year and according to Steve Carley close to agreeing with Dwayne Samuels and Greg Mills too
All looking positive so far.

All good so far...
Any word on O'Connor? He is referenced in Steve Carley's article - but no confirmation he has signed. And do we think Deeney will be kept on?

Big 3 for me are O'Connor, Weir and Millsy.
Assuming DCB, Brown and Green are not kept on then it will be interesting to see who Carl and Matt get in up top.

Thanks for the updates and the links. So far so good. Tom Thorley's re-signing is especially pleasing given that he is finishing at Worcester University. The next few weeks are going to be interesting!

JIIG - I dont do twitter myself, but it seems that Ellis's brother Troy has the following twitter address;
@t_Deeney
He could be alerted to the WN article, and asked to pass message to his bro

I had hoped a bit optimistically that we might look to re-acquire Neil Cartwright following Nuneaton's promotion..
Interesting to read Nuneaton forum however - Cartwright is one of a handful of players fans are keen to keep in the Premier next season. Must have been impressive since he joined them

If you read the match reports he has been the provider for most of the goals. Glover has scored more goals since he arrived too. Be interesting to see how many they keep or if they will do a Alfreton and have a totally new squad by Christmas. I think the jump between BSBN and Prem is a big one and they will probably need a new squad of players to avoid coming straight back down.

They've agreed deals with 5 players Walker, Dean, Forsdick, York and not sure of other player. Gary Mills has left and become a full time player at Lincoln, Ward has had an operation and its unclear if he is staying. Glover either had a two year contract or had the option of signing a second year so he will stay no doubt. I think they will spend most of their time trying to sign on Andy Brown permanently !

Yep, confirming what Verner says about Glover's two year contract/option.

The Oconnor thing worries me tho - esp with all our ex players at Nuneaton. I hope i'm wrong but i'm nervous !

Preston - we have to be realistic that Nunny are going to have the first pick of players who are available in the Midlands, who want to stay part-time, and who want to play at Conf Premier level, provided they can agree terms. Nuneaton have just lost their main central midfield player, Gary Mills, to Lincoln who, although also in Conf Prem, are full-time, unlike Nuneaton.
Carl has said he is hopeful of retaining KOC, and I hope he's right. But, likewise, I'm nervous also.

Rumour is that Danny Glover has been released by Nuneaton, according to tweets being reported on Nunny MB.

Glover would be great - but I gather he's very expensive, and would probably view city as a step backwards...
It's interesting in general how the squad is shaping up. Taking a very pessimistic view - the team would be materially weaker if Weir, O'Connor, Mills and Deeney opted to move on. They were a big driver behind city's successes last season.
Carl seems optimistic that there are other quality players knocking about however....
